The villa is a 3 storey, semi-detached, 4 bedroom house with wonderful views over the lush fertile Emporda Valley in which the beautiful village of Pals is situated. It is one of a group of 10 properties that share a pool and garden area close to the beaches. The area has an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and supermarkets making this location very convenient. There are 7 golf courses within a short drive of the villa, all of which offer challenging sport for the experienced while also providing extremely pleasurable golf for the high handicap player. There are many historical sites museums and art treasures to enjoy - the nearby medieval village of Old Pals, the Dali museum at Figueras and the Roman and Greek ruins at Empuria. This is an up-market area with no high rise developments and is frequented mainly by Spanish from Barcelona, French, Dutch and English who all come for the lovely beaches, great cuisine and the golf.

Changeover day
Arrival and departures on Saturday during the peak season. Arrive after 3pm and depart by 10am arrival and departure day and time may be flexible outside peak season.

Notes on accommodation
This property is strictly non-smoking. The adjoining property, sleeps 6, is owned by my brother and may be available should you be a larger group, as may other properties within Residencial Emporda - please ask!
Outside
The property is in well maintained gardens and has a reasonable sized shared pool. The pool is shared between the ten properties but is never crowded, even in August. The pool is serviced weekly during the season. Barbeque, patio table and chairs (8), sun beds (2) and parasol provided.
Coast/Beach
Many beautiful beaches within walking and driving distance: Platja Pals 5 mins walk; Sa Reira 10 mins walk; El Roco 5 mins walk;Sa Tuna 10 mins drive; Agua Blava 20 mins drive. Other - La France and Calella Palafrugell, Estartit, Tamariu.
Golf
The villa is within 5 mins drive of all 3 golf clubs offering four 18 hole championship courses in the 'Golden Triangle' of golf.
Skiing
Vallter 2000 is within an easy 2 hour drive on good roads and Andorra within a 3 hour drive.
Travel
Nearest airport Gerona (35 mins), Perpignan (2 hours) Barcelona (2 hours). Car essential. Ryanair fly to Gerona from Luton, Stanstead, Liverpool, Blackpool, Bornemouth, Bristol, East Midlands, Doncaster, Dublin, Shannon, and other European airports
Distances
Platja Pals 5 mins walk (2 supermarkets, bakery, restaurants, bars, shops). Begur 10 mins drive. Peratallada (good restaurants) 20 mins drive. Estartit 30 mins drive. Old Pals 15 mins drive. Barcelona 2 hour drive, also by train from Flaca.

Booking notes
30% deposit required with booking form. Balance payable 2 weeks prior to arrival. A breakage / damage deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking and will be refunded no later than 2 weeks after the rental finishes. If accommodation is left in a particularly dirty state any extra cleaning costs will be deducted from the deposit.

23/09/2007 Sorry that it has taken me so long to send this, we have been so busy since we got home, I have been meaning to write to say thank you for the use of your beautiful villa we had a wonderful time there. The area was gorgeous, we all fell in love with it, and your villa was perfect for us, so clean and comfortable. We are hoping to go back next August, so I was wondering whether you had availability from 9th to 23rd next year, and what the rates will be. Pals was a great area. From the beaches, both local and at Sa Rierra and, particularly, Sa Tuna (though Sa Tuna was really about the eatin out experience, heaven!!), to the splendid villages of Pals and Peratallada, and of course the Dali circuit.
