Notes on accommodation
The apartment has air conditioning and for the winter central heating. It is on the second and third floors of a nice block with 2 other residential apartments. Calle d'Aigua is a quiet residential street and it is our second home and our guest are expected to respect this, i.e. no wild parties. It is in a quiet area and our neighbours do not take kindly to those that don't respect the environment.
Outside
The apartment has a balcony per bedroom. Al fresco dining area as well as indoor dining. A large roof terrace which is not overlooked with loungers for 4 people, a cool off shower and parasol with 2 chairs.
Coast/Beach
Clean beaches, a mile of them have loungers, cafes and facilities. There is a nudist beach as well. All beaches are within an easy walk of the apartment. It is less than a minute to the nearest beach. All shops needed are within a minute's walk with a greengrocer and butcher, a wine merchant and a supermarket next to the apartment.
Travel
The nearest airport is Barcelona (20 mins by taxi. 45 mins by train). The next is Reus which is an hour by car. For a holiday in Sitges it is best not to have a car as everything is so close. Parking is very difficult in the centre of the village. However there is free parking areas about a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Once you have arrived you are very unlkely to use the car!
Distances
The nearest market town is Vilanova 3 km south of Sitges with hypermarket and open market. Inland at 10km is Vilafranca. There are a number of good sightseeing options including the Pennedes Vineyards. An hour south is the theme park of Port A'ventura. Barcelona is 30 mins by train and the trains run every 15 minutes. Train travel is very cheap compared to the UK. There is a through the night coach service as trains do not run between midnight and 5am.
Further details
Sitges is an unspoilt holiday village with something to cater to every taste. The town is packed with great restaurants, many on the seafront itself. There are banks, chemist and clinics if needed. Most people speak English who work in the small town.

About the owner
Hi I own the flat with my partner and we have a long standing love affair with Sitges. I live in Sitges in the summer and spend the winter in Andorra. I live about a one minute walk away so can be on hand to help with anything. I speak Spanish. I know Sitges very well and so if you need to know anything just ask. David.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
I bought this property with my partner as a holiday home so it is furnished with a home from home fell. Everyone comments on the standard, in particular the beds - which are proper ones ! Since buying it moved to Sitges and live here year round - apart for winter spells in Andorra.
It is slap bang in the middle of it all. Less than a minute from the beach and the nightlife yet in one of the quietest parts of Sitges - the old town. The flat is in a residential block and the other flat owners live and work in Sitges so please respect that working timetables. So no big late night parties please.
Unique benefits of the property
Sitges is a picture perfect holiday resort and has been unspoilt by the package industry which largely misses Sitges from its brochures. You won't find any lager louts in Sitges, instead it has a very relaxed easy going atmosphere and it attracts a wide mix of progressively minded people. There is fun nightlife, great restaurants, smart shopping and relaxing days on the beach with the bustle of a big city like Barcelona only half an hour away.
