Quality guest house Bed & Breakfast in the un-spoilt old village of Corca, close to La Bisbal. With some parts dating back to the 15th Century, El Reces retains traditional rustic character, whilst being renovated to high specification with the latest fixtures & fittings. Rooms are very spacious with individual features such as terraces or balconies. Guest lounge & rooftop terraces enjoy views over the village and scenic countryside. Facilities include English TV & DVD. Tapas bar, typical Catalan restaurants and small shops are found in the village & the nearby town La Bisbal is a main ceramic centre. Corca is located on the C66 Girona - Palamos road, midway between Girona city and the coast.

Notes on accommodation
Full central heating ensures a comfortale stay throughout the winter season. The thick stone walls help keep the rooms cool in the summer, but fans are supplied. El reces offers peaceful, relaxing and interesting stay to everyone.

Rooftop terraces are available to all guests and are equipped with table and chair seating, as well as sun loungers.
Coast/Beach
20 - 30 minute drive to coast. Picturesque coves as well as long sandy beaches and coastal resorts.
Golf
A great area for golf, 8 championship courses are a 10 - 30 minute drive. Golf packages available, we can advise on schedules and book all your tee times. Golf schools with English PGA professional Jane Fernley run all year.
Skiing
Good Ski resorts are 1.5 hour drive. Andorra is 4 hours.
Special interest holidays
Water sports/lessons and boat trips available. Cycles can be delivered to the guest house for hire - many varied local routes. Horse riding lessons and beach treks. Diving and watersport courses. Boating and hot air ballooning trips. Quad bikes and segway tours. Cultural tours, Dali museums and houses.
Travel
Girona airport 40 minutes. Barcelona 90 minutes. Perpignon 90 minutes. Car hire recommended and can be booked from the airports or from the accommodation. Taxis and transfers can be arranged.
Distances
The town of La Bisbal is a 2 minutes drive. Many old villages are in a 20 minute radius of Corca. Dali museums: Figueres is a 30 minute drive, Pubol a 5 minute drive and Port Lligat 1 hour.

Apr 1, 2008 'We have just returned from a wonderful long weekend at El Reces de Corca. Julie and Jane were the perfect hosts. Their friendliness helpfulness and hospitality were absolutley faultless. The house itself is beautiful and has been renovated to an excellent standard. The rooms are comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast was superb.
