Both suites are located in the peaceful and tranquil setting of San Nicolas, just minutes outside the village of La Herradura on the beautiful Costa Tropical. From the property, lovely views and sunsets can be enjoyed of the western side of the bay. Both suites have their own private entrance, terrace and are surrounded by the lovely secluded garden which is complete with a swimming pool and sunbathing area. Both suites are finished to the highest standard and come with the finest linen and towels. Each suite has its own kitchen and appliances and is stocked with a complementary mini bar with food starter pack and chilled bottle of Cava to celebrate your arrival. The village and beach is just a 10 minute stroll away, where you will find cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. Some of the local activities are watersports, tennis, walking, horse riding, paragliding, diving and golf.

The Sultan (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2)

Accessed down a short flight of steps in the garden leads you to a large private terrace shaded by pine trees and overlooking the terraced slopes. The outside terrace has a table and chairs and is very secluded. It is a beautiful spot to relax with a drink and listen to the birds singing in the trees. The apartment, which was once a working artists studio, has large antique doors that are from Rajistann in India and were sourced through a local importer and then carefully restored by the current owners. The furniture, fittings, bedlinen, lamps/laterns and decor have been chosen to create an opulent and relaxing atmosphere. The bedroom has large double bed. The kitchen comes complete with fridge, oven/grill, toaster, kettle, 2-plate hob, large worktop surface and has plenty of storage space with cupboard units. The en-suite bathroom is complete with a power shower which has a beautiful hand laid mosaic Moroccon tiled floor. Iron and ironing board included. |

Notes on accommodation
There are two suites to choose from - the 'Boudoir' and the 'Sultan', both suites have been recently renovated to the highest standard by the owners with the detail on luxury, comfort and atmosphere. The latest remote controlled air-conditioning/heating system has been installed in both suites.
Also there are CD players with a small selection of CDs. All towels and linen are provided as well as hairdryers, and pool towels. Each has its own private terrace with table and chairs. The suites are suitable for couples or couples with young babies.
Outside
There is a lovely swimming pool (approx 9m x 3m) which is shared between both suites and an area with sun loungers to sunbathe and relax. From the large garden and pool balcony, spectacular sea views and sunsets can be enjoyed. There is a barbecue available for use. Pool towels provided.
Coast/Beach
Approx 25 beaches along La Herradura, Almunecar shoreline including Playa de la Herradura stretching 2km around the magnificent horseshoe bay. This beach is mainly fine sand and shingle and boasts numerous restaurants, beach bars, shops and plenty of water sports including sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving. Located 10 mins walk (2 mins by car) from property.
Golf
Two local golf courses, Bavierra and Los Moriscos golf courses, are within 30 mins from property. Bavieira Golf Club located beyond Nerja on the road to Malaga. Los Moriscos Golf Club located about 25 mins away beyond Salobrena. Also, Granada Golf Club is a 1 hours drive towards Sierra Nevada.
Skiing
Skiing in the Sierra Nevada resort is just over an hours drive away.
Special interest holidays
The coastline is famous for its scuba diving; there are many dive schools in the area taking advantage of some of the beautiful remote coves and beaches in the surrounding area. La Herradura is famous for being perhaps the best diving resort in Spain with several well run diving schools located on the seafront.
Travel
La Herradura is located on the Costa Tropical, in the beautiful and rugged province of Granada in Southern Andalucia, less than an hour by car east from Malaga airport and 70 mins south from Granada. Malaga and Granada both are easily accessible with good motorways linking them with La Herradura.
Distances
The nearest towns are Almunecar (10 mins) and Nerja (10 mins) drive away. Both have a wide selection of shops to supplement the local ones available in La Herradura.
A little further to the east of La Herradura, just round the Punta, is the recently built marina development of Marina Del Este. It is also set in a beautiful location with an adjoining beach and a number of quayside bars and restaurants.
Further details
The village and bay are framed by a backdrop of spectacular mountains forming part of the Sierra de Almijara. The sheltered beach is a 2km strip set between the natural headlands of Punta de la Mona and Cerro Gordo and is lined with outside cafes, bars and restaurants. La Herradura has a good selection of shops, banks, small supermarkets and the bonus of a daily market with fresh meat, fish, and fruit & vegetables.
Booking notes
A 50% deposit -by bank transfer -is payable on booking with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival date.Sorry we do not take credit cards . If cancellation occurs less than 4 weeks before scheduled arrival date then 50% of total rental fee will be forfeit. Cancellation less than 2 weeks before will result in full forfeiture unless the suite is relet for the period.
