This 2 bedroom apartment is on the outskirts of this small fishing town, but within 5 minutes walking distance of restaurants, bars and supermarkets, and just a 3 minute walk from vast unspoilt beaches. Golf lovers will be delighted at the nearest golf course being just 5 minutes drive away. There is a new Aqua Park only a 10 minute drive away and the marina is only a 15 minute walk from the apartment. Garrucha also has a wide selection of shops, banks, dental and medical facilities. The local fishing boats leave the harbour in the morning and return that evening between 17:00 and 18:30, unload their catch and auction it off in the fish market to the local fish restaurants. It is fantastic to see this happening and you are welcome to wander around the auction as it happens. Every Friday (unless there is a fiesta) there is a very big market that runs along two parallel streets of about 500m each. Garrucha is just a very short 3km from the seaside town and village of Mojacar.

Notes on accommodation
Children welcome. This is a 1st floor apartment on a 2 storey complex. May not be suitable for the less mobile.
Outside
Small private South East facing terrace with outside furniture to enjoy the sun and relax with a well earned drink. There is a private secure shared pool and garden area.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is a 3 minute walk away, although there are many others to explore by car or foot.
Golf
Desert Springs is about 15 minutes away. The closest course is 5 minutes towards Mojacar.
Skiing
The Siera Nevada is only 2 hours drive away.
Travel
Almeria airport 45 minute drive. Alicante & Murcia 2 hour drive. Malaga 2 hour drive. All easy drive. Car is not essential but recommended.
Distances
Mojacar is a short drive up the coast which has a good beach and quaint hillside village. Vera boasts to have the 2nd oldest bull ring in Spain which is only 8 km inland. There are a few good markets to get your leather goods and holiday souveniers.

Garrucha has most amenities, including shops, restaurants, bars, 2 supermarkets, banks, medical amenities, dentist. There is a marina with a working fishing port, also boat trips available from the marina.

"We had a very easy journey from Almeria airport to the Apartment in Garrucha. On arriving we found the apartment very clean and everything that we expected was there, including a DVD player for use when we wanted to chill out after a lovely day exploying the area or spending the day on the beach, which is only a 5min walk away. The pool was great and never overcrowded.All in all a great apartment every thing at hand and an excellent base to explore the area from."
"Hi, Was meaning to send you a quick e-mail to say thankyou and we had a very nice week in Garrucha. The weather was very hot and we had a lovely time with a tan to prove it!
The apartment was great, a little warm at times but really well situated, great size and very comfortable and clean. The pool and garden area was really nice and not very busy during the day.
We were mainly going out to Spain to get an idea of the area with a view to buying a villa/apartment. We really liked the area."
