A unique opportunity to spend time in the mountains, under Murcia’s starlit skies, listening to and watching the horses (and donkey). Here you can, play, relax, visit the coast, horse ride, climb, cycle, fish, walk, taste fine wines and enjoy good food. The ranch is set amidst acres of vines, almond and olive trees. It has a 10m x 5m pool and the accommodation comprises of a loft apartment with traditional living downstairs and an adjoining self contained bedroom. Stables are at the rear and horses and pets are welcome. The ground floor has wheelchair facilities and there are ramps to the stables and the pool. Local bars and restaurants offer you local cuisine (English food can be arranged) and local bodega's superb wines. Over the mountain are the thermal baths of Fortuna and Archena. 1 hour drive gives you access to the sea and the beautiful city of Murcia. We have detailed maps and can arrange car hire.

Notes on accommodation
Notes on accommodation. The accommodation lends itself to large groups, joint families and people with a disability. We have equipment for babies and children. We can supply climbers with route maps We have access to local walking routes : fishing regions and permits: We can supply information and transport direction to themes parks and places of interest . In winter we use log fires to heat the property, these can be replaced with safety burners if required. We use electric heating in all the bedrooms and have portable air conditioning units for the summer. Pets are welcome and we can stable your horse/house your cycle/garage your motorbike.
Accessibility
The house is wheelchair friendly. One bedroom has latex mattresses to allow for the greater comfort of the person with back or mobility problems. The ground floor has been designed for use by people with a disability. There are ramps to the terrace, stables and swimming pool. The bathroom are easily accessible and very spacious, the shower has wheelchair access a seat and grab bars. The toilet also has grab bars. The exterior of the house has a pathway to allow people to propel the whole area.
Outside
There is a terrace both up and down stairs. Downstairs overlooks the courtyard /stables, it has the valleys vine field and mountain views. Upstairs is the place to be for starlit nights sunbathing and great sunsets. and there is a large patio area around the pool and a barbeque. The pool has sun shades tables chairs and sun loungers. The pool is private and 10 metres in length .It graduates from1 to 3 metres in depth so allows for diving. The pool area an be locked when not in use. There is a table and chairs on a patio area at the front of the house. The donkeys and horses live in the paddock, at the front and side of the house and are a source of interest and delight to children and adults.
Coast/Beach
The beaches of the Costa Blanca are 45 minutes away whilst the theme parks of Benidorm are just over an hours drive. Here the Costa Blanca offers busy beaches and high activity. An hour and 15 minutes will take you to the quieter Costa Calida and Mar Menor. Here you can experience a mud bath, scuba-dive and kite board.
Golf
The golf courses of Alicante are 30 to 40 minutes drive away but in progress is the golf resort of Santa Anna in Jumilla, which is no more than a 15 minute drive. This should be complete at the end of 2006.

Fishing we can get you the permit and show you the lakes and rivers.
International cycling races (Vuelta de Murcia and The Vuelta de Alicante) take place in spring time and others take throughout the year. The area is a cyclist paradise with good roads without traffic amongst great mountain ranges so bring your road bike and we will provide you with the routes.
In Blanca you can participate in Water Rafting, canoing and Gorge walking. Punting in Murcia and Para gliding can be organized.
Travel
Alicante Airport1 hour by car.
Murcia airport 1 hour 15 minutes by car. A car is essential and we can arrange car hire for you or you can hire at the airports for little money. If you are intending to cycle and do not require a car we can arrange for you to be collected from the airport.
Monarch: BMI baby :jet 2: Ryanair all fly to Alicante / Murcia. Rates vary but as a rule the sooner you book the cheaper it is.
Distances
Canada de Trigo is 5 minutes drive away and can provide you with basic foods and emergency supplies including cigarettes and the best fresh bread and cakes. Pinoso, Jumilla and Cieza are within easy reach. Murcia City is 45 minutes away a charming old city of moorish origin with fantastic shops and a cafe society.
Further details
In this tranquil world of traditional Spain, you can pursue the activity of your choice. As well as those mentioned it is a paradise for bird lovers, walkers, photography and art work. Local bars and bodegas not only provide you with food and wine but steeped in hundreds of years of tradition they give you insight into a way of life that has changed little in a century.
