This 10 year old turretted villa, built by a French artist, is set on a hillside with panoramic views overlooking the plains of Empordà, from the Mediterranean sea to the east, via the local Mont Gri to the north, to the Pyrenees in the west. The house is conveniently situated for a choice of good, sandy beaches and for a wide range of activities and excursions. The house is equally suited to golfers requiring a choice of excellent courses all within a very short distance, to families with children or to small parties looking for a base for activity holidays. There is easy access to the main roads and to a good range of shops and restaurants, some of which are in walking distance. The house has been newly improved and furnished. The grounds have been totally renovated, completed 2006.

The house has two covered outside living areas, an upper and lower terrace, each with large tables and each with seating for 8.

Bath towels and bedlinen included; linen change and house cleaning weekly; pool cleaning weekly.
Please note: beach / pool towels and cot linen are not provided.

 

Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning and heating available (additional cost of Euros 40 per week). Electricty and gas included. Barbeque gas not included - Camping Gaz canisters can be exchanged locally.

The house is suitable for children. A substantial stairgate has been built across the staitcase from the upper terrace from the pool terrace. Safety bars have been added to the internal spiral staircase.

Accessibility
Most accommodation on ground floor with level access from road. The house is not suitable for wheelchair use.

Outside
Situated in grounds of 600sqm which were totally renovated and landscaped in 2006. Front and rear terraces with panoramic countryside, mountain and sea views. Private pool 8x4m with thermal cover in lower terrace area. Pool and patio furniture, covered terrace by pool. Upper rear terrace has barbeque and large patio table (seats 8). Steps between upper rear terrace and pool terrace (with stair gate at top).

Coast/Beach
Platja de Pals - long sandy beach. Good for children. Beach bar, pedaloes, windsurfing 3km.
Numerous small sandy coves within 10 minutes drive eg Sa Riera, Aigua Blava, Sa Tuna, Tamariu, Llafranc, Calella de Palafrugell. Fishing towns with good beaches eg L'Escala and Palamos - 15 minutes; lively resorts with large sandy beaches eg Platja d'Aro - 20 minutes.

Golf
The house is within 5 minutes drive of all three golf clubs in the 'Golden Triangle of Golf' - Golf Platja de Pals, Golf Serres de Pals and Golf Empordà. These three courses offer four 18 hole PGA championship courses. In addition, the popular Par 3 Golf Pitch & Putt de Gualta is also within 5km. The house overlooks Golf Serres de Pals, with Golf Empordà in the distance. All four courses have golf schools, with tuition available in several languages. Further PGA courses are within 20/25 minutes drive: Golf d’Aro (Mas Nou), Club de Golf Costa Brava (Santa Cristina d’Aro), PGA Golf de Catalunya, Golf Girona. 30-40 minutes: Golf Perelada, TorreMirona Golf Club.
Golf discounts at the local courses are sometimes available to guests .

Skiing
Vallter 2000 is within an easy 2 hours drive on good roads; La Molina and Vall de Núria are also about 2 hours; Andorra 3 hours.

Travel
Nearest airports: Girona (40 minutes), Perpignan (1.25 hours), Barcelona (1.5 hours).
Ryanair flies direct to Girona from many European destinations.

The house is ideally situated for summer beach and activity holidays as well as all year-round golf and leisure breaks.
