Casa Piedra is the only house with its own swimming pool in the old town. ALL other similar properties are out of town - a car drive away from the beach, amenities, bars and restaurants of Salobreña. You can walk everywhere in Salobreña from Casa Piedra. There are two entrances to the property:the lower is the main one which leads up from the cul-de-sac roadway and the garage. Once inside the grounds, there is an outside flight of some twenty steps leading up to the front door. The other entrance brings you from the alleys of the old town, leading this time down another flight of steps to the front terrace and door. Within a five minute walk of this upper level gate you will reach Bar Pesetas, our most local bar and one of the best restaurants in Salobrena. The house is about a 12 minute walk to the beach although the return, coming back up the hill, takes slightly longer.

Notes on prices
Couples out of season: During November - March the price is £525 per week when 2 people occupy the house, ie 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. This does not apply at Christmas, New Year and Easter. 2009: 27 June - 4 July prices are £1300; 11 July - 28 August prices inclusive are £1550 per week.

Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Saturday. At busy times the house is not available until 5pm and departure should be by 10am in order to permit cleaning and making beds.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1: 5' Double bed. Fitted wardrobe and drawers. Views over swimming pool, barbecue terrace and the sea.
Bedroom 2: Very large bedroom with super king-size bed. Sofa bed.
Bedroom 3: Twin beds.
Bedroom 4: Double bedroom (ground floor)
Bathrooms: Bedroom 1 is en suite - see above.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a newly reburbished shower room from same landing.
Bedroom 4 is downstairs and is also en suite.
Kitchen: Fully equipped with large gas cooker and electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, freezer, 2 refrigerators and microwave.
Living Rooms: Lounge: Spacious room with two large sofas, satellite TV/radio (British programmes),video, and DVD; book-cases. Open fireplace. Door leads out to side terrace and
swimming pool. Steps up to open plan dining room.
Dining Room and Dining Terrace.
Other: There is an upstairs sun terrace with tiled seating for 6 - 8 people. Flowering creepers and spectacular sea and mountain views.

linen/maid service:
Linen and towels for inside use are included. Two weekly bookings have a mid stay clean included.

Gates are arranged around the terraces to keep small children in safe areas and away from the pool.

In all there are 6 terraces around the house designed to take full advantage of sun bathing, enjoying the views, sitting in the shade, barbecuing or playing table tennis.

Coast/Beach
The Salobreña beach is a 12 minute walk away down the passageways and staircases of the old village. This is a very popular beach and of course there are excellent informal fish restaurants along its 4 kms length.

Golf
There is a 9 hole golf course (being extended) about 5km away in Motril.

Skiing
The excellent Sierra Nevada skiing operates until early April and is an easy 1.25 hours drive.

Travel
Granada airport is 1 hours drive - 75 kms. Malaga airport is 1.25 hours drive - 100kms. Almeria is 1.5 hours drive - 125 kms.

Distances
See above for city distances. The Alpuharras (southern foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains) are an hour away and worth a visit. Nerja and its caves are 30 minutes away.

Booking notes
Deposit payments are £200 per week and the balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. A security deposit of £200 is payable with the balance.
