The apartment is part of a small urbanisation which has a beautiful pool and well looked after gardens with flower beds. It is only an 8 min stroll to the beautiful blue flag beach. There are prom bars, restaurants and several beach bars scattered along the beach. To see the apartment and location go to my website by clicking the link below. Changeover day
Flexible. The apartment must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. This is flexible as long as nobody is arriving on that day. When arriving you cannot take occupancy before 4pm. This is also flexible.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 has a double bed. There is a fitted double wardrobe and bedside cabinets. Bedroom 2 has twin beds and also a double wardrobe with bedside cabinet. |
| Bathrooms: | Bath with shower unit, washbasin and toilet. Mirrored cabinets (one with shaver point). |
| Kitchen: | All mod cons. Oven, four ring hob, George Forman grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron and ironing board, toaster, kettle, deep fryer, filtered water so no need to buy and carry those heavy water bottles and uncle tom cobbly and all. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge has a brown leather suite and wall units with subdued lighting. There is also English TV, DVD with lots of films, Video recorder and tapes, Hi Fi. Dining area has a table and 4 chairs. |
| Other: | Please note: the Spanish government has closed down the illegal transmission of Sky. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All linen is provided, however, there is a charge of 40 euros which is the cost of cleaning and washing. A midterm linen change is available, optional, at a cost of 20 euros. |
Notes on accommodation
The property is alarmed and there is a safety deposit safe free of charge. It also has filtered drinking water. No need to buy those heavy water bottles. There are sunbeds and parasols on the balcony and BBQ area. Book early to avoid disappointment. Take a look at availability. We get quite a few return bookings. Flights are cheaper if booked early.

Outside
The property is situated at the brow of a hill, hence the beautiful view of the Med. The elderly/infirm may find the hill rather steep. A car is not essential as there are bars, restaurants, supermarkets and beach all in close proximity. The nearest supermarket is only 2/3 minutes walk and several others within a 15 minutes.
The downstairs terrace/garden has a gas/charcoal BBQ and is a great place to sunbathe or just to get out of the sun. There are 4 sunloungers,tables and chairs. The apartment is is home from home.
Coast/Beach
The beach is 1 minute by car/8 minutes walking. Once at the beach, you can walk for several kilometers along the beautiful sands stopping at the beach bars on the way. By car you can visit the many coastal resorts up and down the Costa Blanca. There are some really nice places well worth visiting. There are 2 bus services. Only 3/4 minutes to the bus stop to take you into Torrevieja. Torrevieja market every Friday; La Mata market every Wednesday.
Golf
There are several golf courses within easy reach. No more than a 15 minute drive, all of which I have played. Las Ramblas is a very demanding course - if you miss the fairway expect trouble. La Finca is a bit expensive but well worth the few extra euros. Villa Martin is one of the Championship courses close by. A little less demanding than Las Ramblas. Campoamor is a beautiful course with lots of palm trees. La Marquesa, nice course, but a few ups and downs.

Travel
Alicante Airport and Murcia are both about 35 minutes away. Transfers can be arranged. A car is not essential but it would enable you to travel further afield and there are lots of places well worth a visit.
Distances
La Mata village centre is approx a 10 minute walk either through the park or along the beach. There is a weekly market every Wednesday. The Aqua Park (as seen on my website) is a great day out but is about a 30 minute walk. La Mata salt water lake is about 10 minutes walking. Once there, you can follow the coloured markings indicating the different walks. This is designated as National Park Natural.

You can get information on places to visit. If you enjoy wining and dining have a look at the bars and restaurants. There are pictures and detailed info re the many golf courses within easy reach. When booking your holiday you want to know what you are getting so have a good look. You will not not be disappointed.
Added 3-11-08 I have had sat TV for 7 years, however, sat TV is illegal. the Spanish gov. has closed down most companies transmitting sky and the illegal bbc/itv channels. However, it is at present being looked into and may return legally. i cannot guarantee what channels will be available. At present I am looking into free to air channels. i have now a DVD with lots and lots of films plus some series. Lost, Dexter, Taggart, Nip Tuck, etc. so there is plenty of viewing if needed. Any other apartment advertising sat TV has either being disconnected or could be at any time.
Booking notes
A £75 deposit is payable (non refundable) at the time of booking. The remainder must be paid 6 weeks before your holiday. If less than 6 weeks before the holiday then the total must be paid at the time of booking. Sorry not pets. Please do not smoke inside. There is a large balcony and private garden where smoking is no problem. There is a £50 refundable bond to pay. It will be refunded in total providing there is no damage, the apartment is left clean and tidy and the keys have been returned.
