Renovated townhouse in quiet location very convenient for all village amenities. Upgraded to a very high standard and furnished accordingly. On the ground floor the spacious hall leads to 2 bedrooms and luxury bathroom. Stairs lead to the 1st floor which comprises an open plan living area with dining and well equipped kitchen. This area has a large open fire ideal for the winter months and 2 typical balconies with French windows. A large shower room is also on this level. Stairs lead to the terrace level which has a versatile room which can either be used as a further living area or a comfortable double bedroom. Two sets of French windows lead to the large terrace area with stunning views over the village and to the coast with Africa beyond. The terrace is partially covered to give shade when needed and is furnished for outside dining with barbecue facility.

Other: The terrace room can either be used as bedroom 3 (double) or as an additional living area with comfortable sofa. The terrace has a built in bench, lounge chairs/table and BBQ, partially shaded by lovely pergola. Radiators in each room.

Linen and towels are included (changed weekly). Cleaning once weekly. Iron/ironing board and washing machine for own use. Gas and electric included other than for long winter rentals where a charge will be made locally.

Notes on accommodation
Heating in all rooms. Large open fire on first floor with basket of logs included (extra logs available in village petrol station). The staircases are open in the traditional style but child safety gates are fitted at the top of each stair. A welcome pack is included in the rental price. There is a security safe for valuables.

Large south facing terrace with table and chairs/loungers, BBQ, partially shaded.

Coast/Beach
The coast (Costa del Sol) is a 30 min drive away with a variety of beaches. The Atlantic coast is just over an hours drive away.

Golf
Plenty of golf courses on the coast (30 minute drive).

Travel
Malaga airport is around 80 mins by car. Gibraltar airport is about an hour's drive. Car hire is recommended but not essential as we can organise a taxi from the airport. There is a train station 15 mins away by car with trains running south to Algeciras and North to Ronda and Granada.

Distances
Ronda is a 40 min drive away. Granada and Seville can be reached in just over 2 hours. The Costa del Sol is 30 min drive away with Mijas, Marbella, Sotogrande and Gibraltar all within an hour's drive.

Further details
Gaucin has a good variety of amenities all within walking distance. Local shops, many bars/restaurants (varying price levels), bank, post office, pharmacy, petrol station. The historic castle perched on a hill rock is one of many pleasant village walks, other walks (including organised group walks) take you into the surrounding countryside, ideal for nature lovers. A large village swimming pool (including kids pool) open in the summer, village tennis court is also available.
The area is very popular for bird spotting and is an excellent base for this activity.
A number of artists are based in the village with regular exhibitions. Easter Sunday hosts the bull-run through the village streets attracting large crowds.

Booking notes
30% deposit required prior to confirmation of booking. Balance required 6 weeks before start of stay, any bookings made within 6 weeks of let should be paid in full at time of booking. Deposit only refunded if owner can secure another booking for the period of let. Damage deposit to be paid, refunded if no breakages.
