Situated in the heart of the Costa del Golf the apartment is set within a secure gated development with landscaped gardens and pools. Surrounded on 3 sides by a private garden and 2 terraces with spectacular views. The spacious apartment has a light and airy feel and benefits from air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Casares region, and its coastal village – Sabinillas lies about 6km west of Estepona, and 10km east of Sotogrande on the CN 340. It is half way between Marbella and Gibraltar. Marbella and Puerto Banus are about 25 / 30 minutes drive. Renowned as one of Spain's 'white villages', the Casares area stretches from the coast into the mountains, and apart from the coastal strip is rugged and unspoilt. Malaga airport is a 60 minute drive, Gibraltar is a 30 minute drive and Jerez airport a 90 minute drive. Sabinillas is an old fishing village.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment has full central heating/air conditioning throughout and is equipped with the basics for children. Due to the steps in and out of the apartment it is unsuitable for wheelchair access.

Outside
The apartment has a private garden surrounding 3 sides, landscaped and covered in stones. There is a large front sun terrace and small secluded back terrace fully equipped with patio furniture, BBQ and sun loungers. Within the gated communal gardens there are 2 heated pools which are shared and are suitable for children.

Coast/Beach
Casares beach is a 5 mins walk, downhill. There is a chiringuito (beach bar) serving great food together with changing facilities and WC’s. Part of the beach is near rocks providing interesting rock pools for exploration.

Golf
A golfer's paradise: A fabulous year round climate, over 30 high quality courses on this stretch of coast, including some of the most beautifully landscaped in the world. The Costa del Sol is the number one golfing destination in Europe. You have 2 courses within a 5 mins drive of the apartment. These are Estepona Golf, and the 18 hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones at La Duquesa which enjoys panoramic views over the marina and coastline. San Roque Golf Club is about 20 mins away, as is Valderrama which is the top rated course in continental Europe.

Skiing
The beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains are 2 hours drive from Casares and offer great skiing facilities whilst being less busy than other European resorts.

Travel
Hire car is recommended. Gibraltar is 25 mins drive. Malaga 55 mins and Jerez 90 mins.

Distances
Casares region and its coastal village Sabinillas, lies about 6km west of Estepona and 10km east of Sotogrande on the CN 340. It is half-way between Marbella and Gibraltar.

Further details
Sabinillas has a good collection of shops for 'everyday' needs (including 3 supermarkets). High fashion and designer boutiques abound in Puerto Banus and Marbella (25/30 mins). Open-air markets are extremely popular, most mornings. The best of them are: Puerto Banus (Saturday); Sabinillas (Sunday morning); Sotogrande (Sunday afternoon); Estepona (Wednesday). Leisure Activities: ‘The Hanging Village’ of Casares, perched on the side of a mountain, is a 20 mins drive away and shouldn't be missed. There are plenty of other places to visit, and for a days outing drive to the magnificent ancient city of Ronda about 45 mins away plus the historic towns of Cadiz, Grenada and Seville. The rock of Gibraltar is visible from our terrace and can be reached within 30 mins, a great day out and its duty free shopping! Driving south towards the Atlantic coast there is Tarifa, a surfer’s paradise and only 50 mins away. From here you can take the fast ferry to Morocco, a 45 mins crossing. For children there are the superb water parks at Mijas and Algerciras, the Tivoli Gardens at Benalmadena, the Selwo Safari park at near Estepona and the Funny Beach towards Fuengirola.

Booking notes
A deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking. Eight weeks before the start of your holiday the full rental becomes payable. A security deposit of £100 is also payable which will be refunded to you at the end of your holiday however the owners reserve the right to retain all or part of this in the event of damage to the property or its contents. Payments must be made in UK pounds and can be made either by cheque or Banker's draft, or by direct transfer. Air conditioning £25 per week.
