Cuevas Jimenez is a beautifully restored, fully modernised cave home, consisting of 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge, dining area and rustic kitchen, complete with fridge, microwave, full sized cooker and a washing machine. Able to accommodate 6 adults and a baby (travel cot provided). Cuevas Jimenez has everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing holiday, including a family friendly pool and large outdoor terraced area, with stunning views over the Castril Valley. Available on site for private hire, we have horse riding, mountain bikes and canoes.

| Living Rooms: | Separate lounge, with large wood burner for winter use. Two sofas (additional seating if required), satellite TV, DVD player and several DVD's including children’s titles. Music CD player, books and games. Internet connection. |

Property is self catering, so maid service is not available. Adequate towels and bed linen are provided, but more can be provided on request. |
Notes on accommodation
Central heating and air conditioning are not necessary as cave homes have an average all year round temperature of around 18c. So the accommodation is cool in summer and warm in winter. However, for those of you that like a roaring fire, there is a large wood burner in the lounge. We like to accommodate families with children, and provide in addition to cot & highchair, a playpen, inflatables for the pool, a separate paddling pool, toys, games & DVD's. There are also potties for continued toilet training whilst on holiday, and just in case of toddler accidents, waterproof covers are provided for the beds if you wish. There are NO additional charges.
Free gas bottle refills, electricity, use of own washing machine, wood for log burner, use of pool towels - no extra luggage to carry!, internet connection via WI-FI, free use of GPS navigation system, stored with local restaurants, attractions, places to visit and shops.

Outside
There is a large outdoor terrace area leading directly from the accommodation, with views across the valley. Outdoor furniture provided - tables, chairs, sun loungers and BBQ. Outdoor family friendly pool for guest use. Safe for children at only 7m x 3m and approx 1.5m deep. All pool towels are provided.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is some distance away at Almeria, approx 2 hours drive away, however there are 3 lakes within about 20 minutes drive, all with man made beaches. We have inflatable and rigid canoes available for hire.
Special interest holidays
Horse riding, mountain bikes and canoes are available for private hire from us on site. The stunning scenery lends itself to walking, horse riding, painting, and photography. There is an abundance of wildlife such as vultures, eagles and falcons, along with the protected Iberian Lynx.
Travel
The nearest airport is Granada International, approx 1½ hour drive. Budget airline Ryanair has daily flights to here from Liverpool and Stansted, and 4 times weekly from East Midlands. Almeria and Murcia airports are approx 2 hours drive.
Distances
Nearest village, Fuente Vera 2km or 2 mins drive. Nearest town Castril 16km or 15 mins drive. Lakes, restaurants, market. Nearest city, Baza, 40km or 1 hour drive. Larger shops, lake, market. Granada 2 hours drive for the Alhambra Palace and other historic buildings, large shops and stores.
Further details
This property is pet friendly and well behaved dogs are welcomed. There is no additional charge.
Great for groups, with plenty of local activities, whether it be gentle walking, canoeing on the nearby lakes or horse riding on site.
There are no extra charges for anything else. Gas bottles, electricity, wood are all supplied free of charge. We also have for guest use a GPS satellte navigation system in which we have entered all of the local restaurants, shops, activites, places of interest etc. This is also free of charge. There is an internet point in the cave, also for free use.
Booking notes
20% deposit required with booking, and balance due 6 full weeks before commencement of holiday. Cancellation terms available on request and are at the discretion of the owners.
