Changeover day
Changeover day for July/August is a Sunday. Arrival time after 3p.m. and departure time by 11a.m.

Notes on accommodation
We would like the inside of the house to be treated as a non-smoking area. We ask that smokers respect our wishes and smoke outside. There are heaters available for all rooms. The garden is on one level and totally enclosed with lockable gates. There are, however, a number of steps leading from the terrace to the garden which might be difficult for very young children to negotiate (see pictures). There is also an outside staircase leading to the roof terrace. Although we do not have equipment for young children available in the villa, there is a hire shop about seven minutes drive away, which hires out such equipment i.e. a travel cot is 15 euros a week (you have to provide your own sheets and blankets).
Outside
Totally enclosed by walls and lockable gates, with its own pool (12x5m) and patio area in garden. Large outside terrace with outdoor furniture, built-in BBQ area (not covered) at back of property with table, chairs and parasol, and roof terrace.
Coast/Beach
The extensive beaches of Guardamar are a 10 mins drive away. All beaches have an area with vigilant lifeguards until 7pm in the high season. They are easily accessed with plenty of parking.
Golf
La Marquesa is on Quesada (5 mins drive). La Finca about 10 mins drive. Las Ramblas, Campoamor and Villa Martin about 20 mins drive. The well-known La Manga is about 50 mins drive, but well worth a visit.
Travel
About 30 mins drive from Alicante or San Javier (Murcia) airports.
Distances
Guardamar (10 minute drive) is a fair sized very Spanish town next to the beach. It has a lovely promenade alongside the beach with restaurants and bars. In the town there is a wide choice of restaurants and a variety of shops. There is a sports centre and indoor/outdoor pool situated next to the beach. Torrevieja is 15 mins. The larger towns/cities of Alicante, Murcia, Elche, Orihuela and Cartagena are within an hour's drive by motorway. The Mar Menor and La Manga strip are 40 mins drive.
Further details
The nearest shops are 5 mins stroll with restaurants, bars, supermarket, hairdresser, bank, and internet cafe. The town of Quesada is a 10 minute walk. Here there are banks, restaurants, bars, garage (24 hour) with shop, town hall, pub with internet access, gift shops, clothes shops, pharmacies, tennis courts, supermarkets, hairdressers and water park. The supermarkets within walking distance are open Saturdays and Sunday mornings. There are a number of larger supermarkets, also open at weekends, a short drive away.
