The Albatros Residential development has secure gated access and benefits from a superb 200m2 pool with separate children’s pool and landscaped gardens with water features. The apartment has a private underground car park. It is a 10 minute stroll from the fabulous sandy beaches of the Mar Menor, whose crystal clear, warm, shallow waters are ideal for families and children. The town was the first in the region to achieve the coveted Q certification for quality of beaches. Nearest airport: 2 miles (Murcia/San Javier) with Alicante less than 1 hour motorway drive to the north, the nearest bars, restaurants, banks and shops are less than 4 minutes walk.

Clean bed linen, hand bath towels and tea towels are provided at the start of each let. For 2 week lets a mid-holiday clean can be provided by request. Please bring your own towels for use on the beach. Airport pick ups and welcome packs by arrangement. |
Notes on accommodation
The property is presented for rental as a non-smoking apartment. For the benefit of other holiday makers, any smokers that rent the property must respect this and not smoke inside the apartment itself.
Accessibility
The apartment block has very good wheelchair access. A ramp takes you to the entrance and a lift takes you too the second floor where the apartment is located.
Outside
The apartment balcony has a main table and 4 chairs and side table, the communal pool area has separate children’s area, landscaped gardens and water features. We have provided 4 beach seats for the pool area.
Coast/Beach
Los Alcazares boasts 7km of sandy beaches. The shallow waters and warm winds of the Mar Menor make it ideal for young families, the temperatures af the Mar Menor are always 4-6 degrees warmer than the Mediterranean. Both windsurfing and kite boarding, both of which can be hired from various shops and schools along the Mar Menor shoreline. Jet skiing is also very popular.
Golf
There are several local golf courses including the 3 golf courses at the world famous La Manga Club which are within a 20 mins drive south, with Villamartin, Campomoar a 20 mins drive north. Hacienda del Álamo 30 mins, Roda Beach (3 mins)and golf resort and La Serenna (5 mins). All seven Polaris World Jack Nicklaus designed courses, La Torre and El Valle are now open, are within 30 mins drive.
Travel
The nearest airport is Murcia/San Javier, which is only 5 mins drive from the apartment. Alicante airport is 40 mins drive away. Given the closeness of the San Javier airport, a car is not essential, however, the Costa Calida area rewards those that are prepared to get out and about and explore its wonderful towns and cities such as the Capital Murcia, the historic towns of Cartagena and Lorca and the holy city of Caravaca de la Cruz.

Los Alcazares is well connected to the recently upgraded Spanish motorway network. Murcia 40 mins by car, La Manga 20 mins. Cartagena 15 mins. Lorca 1 hour. Caravaca 1 hour 15 mins. Orihuela 40 mins. Torrevieja 30 mins
Further details
The Mar Menor ferry picks up from the pier in the centre of town between 15 June-15 September and visits other towns and the islands of the Mar Menor, at which you can stop off and enjoy a delicious lunch of freshly caught and barbecued sardines. Aquapolis Water Fun Park near Torrevieja also opens from 15 June to 15 September and is an excellent fun day out for all the family, providing a welcome opportunity to do some serious cooling off during the height of the summer when the mercury hits the top of the glass in the thermometer. Locals markets are on Tuesdays in Los Alcazares Town Centre and on Saturdays in Los Narejos which is 15 mins walk away.
Booking notes
Prices are per week and a non-refundable deposit of £75 is payable upon booking to secure the dates required, with the remaining balance to be paid no less than 8 weeks prior to departure. A further security deposit of £50 is also payable 8 weeks prior to departure to cover loss of keys/replacement locks and/or any damage to the apartment or its contents. This deposit will be returned to you subject to the safe return of the keys and no damage or breakages during your stay at the apartment.

We had a good think about anything that you had missed but we honestly couldn’t think of anything. So I think you’ve got it about right. It was really comfortable and relaxing – we did a bit of eating out as well as eating in – so we tested everything out in the apartment and it was ideal.
