Apartment Lujo is a bright & very spacious Luxury Penthouse, it has been fitted with everything to make your holiday enjoyable. A large 28" Widescreen TV with Sky TV (including movie channels) + DVD player (DVDs also supplied) sits next to the PC which is connected to the internet. A CD/radio/stereo is also supplied. The lounge looks out over one of the three terraces and then out over the Mediterranean Sea, or in the opposite direction to Lake Victoria and the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. The lounge has two sofas to sit everyone comfortably. The dining area has an extendable dining table with a further sofa bed, that can sleep 2. There is a bedroom downstairs and a bathroom too. Upstairs there are 2 more bedrooms, 2 more bathrooms and a further two terraces. Local people refer to the development by the size of the pool, quite simply the largest in Almerimar, complete with three lifeguards! Beyond the pool it is a short walk to the sea, and alongside it are 4 tennis courts.

Utility Room: Washing machine, iron, ironing board.

All towels, beach towels, kitchen towels and sheets are supplied. Cleaning service is an additional cost when you leave of €70 for one week. If you visit for two weeks a mid holiday clean is included as well as the end of holiday for €100 - paid locally.

Notes on accommodation
The aparment is fitted with both hot and cold air conditioning. There is a travel cot available. There is covered underground parking downstairs with lift access to the apartment. Paddle Tennis rackets are supplied, as well as balls.

Accessibility
The whole of the downstairs (includes bedroom, bathroom, lounge, kitchen, and dining area) is wheelchair accessible.

Outside
There are three terraces. Main terrace has large table and chairs on it. Master bedroom terrace has two loungers on it. Third terrace has table and two chairs on it. The gardens are communal and are beautifully landscaped, and lead on to the promenade that takes you to the port, or the sea. within the landscaped gardens are the pool and four Paddle tennis courts (rackets and balls supplied). Paddle Tennis is a slighlty smaller court than a regular Tennis Court.

Coast/Beach
The apartment is located on the beachfront. A one minute walk takes you to the water's edge! The beach is never crowded and is a protected nature reserve.

Skiing
We are approximately one and half hours from the Sierra Nevada Ski Fields. The southerly most ski fields in Europe, the only place where you can ski and see the Mediterranean. It is possible, at certain times of the year, to swim in the morning in the sea and skit in the afternoon - where else in Europe can you do that!?

Special interest holidays
Bird Watching at the close by nature reserve. Horse riding in the only desert in Northern Europe. Walking in either the renound Cabo de Gata or in the Sierra Nevadas.

Travel
The nearest airport is Almeria, 20 minutes drive away.
Flights come in from all across Europe and especially UK. Airlines including easyjet and Ryanair, and all UK charter airlines service the airport. A list of carriers and where they fly from is on our website.

Distances
The city of Almeria is a 20-30 minute drive away.
The town of Roquetas del Mar is a 10 minute drive away.
The town of El Ejido is a 5 minute drive away.
The Port of Almerimar is a 2 minute drive away.

Further details
Almeria boast the hottest and driest climate of all Spain. Even in the winter it is exceptionally mild and often possible to get a tan! So local golfing is popular during the winter months. In the summer the pool and sea have their neverending appeal! There is a restaurant / bar a short walk along the promenade. A further bar is a little further along (both within 5 - 7 minutes walk)
In the Port there are many restaurants and many bars. In short it caters for everyone whilst still remaining a small and quiet port village.

About the owner
I am a Dad of two young girls aged 4 and 1, married to Marianne for 10 years, who loves spending time in the sun. We come to our bolt hole when it is cold and gloomy in the UK and spend time outside in the sunshine, just wish we could spend more time here.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought here because it was a quieter, more Spanish area than many other holiday homes in nearby. We didn't want to be in Marbella or Malaga because it was too crowded, noisy, racy, glitzy, full of English etc etc, and this area gave us the chance to escape all of that. Around here, you can eat real Tapas if you want, or actually speak Spanish if you want to try. You don't have to drive far to find fish and chips, or English speaking pubs, but importantly ( to us!) you don't have to and can enjoy the real Spain here. We drive in to the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas and drive through the Orange Groves, through the rural Olive Groves, there is real tranquil beauty around here, full of natural countryside, that really distinguishes this area from other parts of Spain.

Unique benefits of the property
-Swimming in the sea. -Walking to the marina along the promenade. -Bicycling along the beach. -Swimming in Almerimar's best pool(!) -Eating in the town square late on a summer evening. -Drinking in the town square late on a summer evening. -Smugly watching the English weather forecast in our lounge. -Getting in a cool car in the basement car park in the heat summer. -Looking at the snow caps of the Sierra Nevadas from our sunny lounge.
