The price is in Sterling £ and Euros € is for the villa and not per person. Ideal for golfers.
We offer discounts of 10% for lets of 3 weeks or more.
Changeover day
Changeover is Saturday. The villa is available from 4pm and we request it be vacated by 10am in order it can be prepared for our next guests.

| Other: | Out side there are sun beds, and patio table and chairs and a large barbecue for guests to enjoy. Large parasols provide shade and a safe garden for children to enjoy. The beach is an easy 10 minute stroll, and the supermarket and shops 3 mins walk. |

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning is fitted in all bedrooms. For visitors in the winter there are heaters and electric radiators in all rooms plus an open fire in the living room. There are 4 comfortable sofas for guests to relax on ans satellite television and stero for guests use.
Outside
The private pool is 20x10'. There are inflatables and noodles, balls etc to enjoy. The patio has a large table with parasol and eight chairs. There are additionally 4 sunbeds and additional garden chairs and a BBQ.
Coast/Beach
The beach is a short walk (10 mins) or 3 min drive. There are many bars and restaurants leading down to the beach and 2 restaurants on the beach. The beach is several miles long and has diving (PADI), pedalos, banana boats and do-nuts in the summer. There is a secluded nudist beach and cliff walks to Sa Riear (20 mins walk).
Golf
The area has great golf. Pals Golf club hosted the Spanish Open (5 mins away), Emporda has 36 holes and is used as a European Tour qualifying course (5 mins), Serres Club 18 holes is also approx 5 mins away form the villa. There is also an 18 hole pitch and putt and golf range at Gualta (12 mins drive), and the new PGA course of Catalunya about 35 mins way,(also a host of the Spanish Open).
Special interest holidays
For divers there are the Isles de Medes accessible from Estartit which is about 15 mins from the Villa. This was the first sea nature reserve in Spain and is very popular with divers. In the summer bicycles can be hired nearby and there is 'PADI' scuba diving from the local beach.
Travel
For flights the nearest airport is Girona (served by Ryanair) this is about 40 mins to the villa. Barcelona airport is about 1 hour 45 mins drive and is served by Easyjet and BA. There is also Perpignan in France which is about 1 hour 40 mins away. Driving from Calais is about 750 miles and takes around 11 hours.
Distances
The medieval town of Pals is about 3km away. Begur with its historic buildings, fortress and many restaurants and bars is 10 mins drive. Estartit is approx 15 mins. The Salvador Dali museum at Figueres is about 40 mins away and the attractions of Barcelona can be reached by car (1 hour 45 mins) or by train (2 ours from Flaca station).
Further details
Within easy reach of Pals are many interesting sites; The ancient Roman and Greek ruins at Empuries (near L'Escala), water parks, zoos, wonderful Catalan restaurants and the spectacular Pyrenees.

About the owner
My wife and I bought this villa 8 years ago and love spending time in Pals. Our family also enjoy visiting and it has been great fun finding new things to see with each visit. Places of interest nearby are the historic old towns of Pals and Begur and the impressive city of Girona with its larger selection of shops and restaurants. The Costa Brava area is known for its paddy-rice fields (the word Pals means marsh) and it is well known for their wonderful paella dishes, orchards, cork forests, medieval history of the Moors and its sparkling sea. We especially enjoy the local colour, the Catalonian dishes, the markets and frequent fiestas in nearby towns. A short journey by car takes in Figueres and Savlador Dali's museum which is worth a special visit and Barcelona is within easy reach.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought this property because of the unspoilt coastline and great beaches in the area. It is popular with Barcelonians many of whom have weekend homes along the coast and has a much less commercial feel than many other parts of Spain. Ease of access was also important and there are many flights a day to Girona, Barcelona and it can be driven to from Calais in under 12 hours.
Unique benefits of the property
Our property has a safe enclosed garden and enjoys a good level of privacy. We installed air conditioning in all the bedrooms a few years ago after one very hot summer and this has made the nights as comfortable as the days. The villa is in a quiet road within easy walk of shops and local restaurants, tennis and golf. At the beach there are friendly restaurants and beach bars which offer very good value. We felt we struck gold when we found this part of the Costa Brava and have had a wonderful time finding new places to visit and visiting our favourite old haunts. Our guests clearly like what they have found and we have had some excellent feedback and many repeat bookers. For golfers the area has some 4 courses within 10 minutes of the villa, at Pals, Serres, and Golf Emporda.
