This modern villa is situated in the Spanish village of San Juan de los Terreros with its long clean sandy beaches and safe bathing. Close to the large town of Aguilas, picturesque village of Mojacar and fishing port of Garrucha it offers something for everyone. Spectacular golf courses are short car journey away - the nearest being under 10 minutes away.

The villa is available for minimum weekly lets. Prices include cleaning at the end of the visit but excludes electricity. An electricity charge is payable in euros to our local letting agent based on usage from meter readings taken on arrival and on departure.

Changeover day
Saturday day is the change over day in high season (2012), but during other times this can be flexible by prior mutual agreement.

Towels and linen included, pool and villa cleaned between lets by property management company. We ask you to provide your own beach towels. If extra linen or towels required during your visit a laundry charge payable locally will be made.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is completely enclosed and secure but the pool is not fenced off separately from the villa so guests will need to supervise small children or non-swimmers. The balcony doors have lockable grill gates in addition to the normal doors for safety if small children are among our guests. The villa is on a hill but the gradient to and from the beach/shops/restaurant is not too steep. We ask you not to smoke in the villa.

Outside
The front garden consists of a patio with a large table and chairs and parasol, large brick built BBQ, car parking area and shrubs and plants. The rear secluded garden consists of a 8 x 4m private pool, a patio/sunbathing area with sun beds, pool shower.

Coast/Beach
Long clean sandy beaches, with safe bathing, 15 minutes walk from the villa. Numerous beaches and bays within 15 minutes drive.

Golf
The stunning Aguilon 18 hole course within 10 minutes drive.

Travel
About 70 minute drive from either Almeria or Murcia airports. 2 hour drive from Alicante airport. 3.5 hours from Malaga. Following the opening of the toll road from Cartegena to Vera the Murcia (San Javier) airport is now very accessible. Car hire or use of a car is considered essential.

Distances
15 minute walk down to shops, bars and excellent restaurants - allow 20 minutes walk back to villa. 10 minute drive to Aguilas. 35 minutes drive to Vera, Garrucha and Mojacar.30 minutes to Mazaron and 45 to Gartegena.

Further details
Many activities within short drive - waterslide park at Vera Playa, Golf course at Mojacar, Western movie set tour in Mojacar, Go-karting in Garrucha. Banks and shopping mall in Aguilas, Garrucha & Mojacar. Daily markets in neighbouring towns and villages.

Booking notes
A non returnable deposit of £250 is required on booking with the balance being due 8 weeks before departure. A refundable electricity usage deposit of 30 euros per week payable locally if you wish to use the air-conditioning/heating.

About the owner
I am Jill. I am married to Roy and we have two sons and five granddaughters. Roy has his own small accountancy practice and this allows us to make four visits to Casa Dora each year. We have been visiting the region now on and off since the mid 1980's and bought the house in San Juan off-plan in 2003 and took possession in 2006. Needless to say we love it!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
This area learned from the 'mistakes' made when the regions like the Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca and Costa Brava were developed. The area has no high rise buildings and it attracts visitors from Spain as well as England, Belgium Germany and France so the Spanish flavour of the area has not been lost. Because the area produces an enormous amount of market garden produce the road structure is superb making easy journeys from a number of airports whilst not having those airports close by. It is said that once you have visited this area you will return. And most people do!

Unique benefits of the property
The villa is also our family's holiday home and therefore is maintained and equipped accordingly. Our family expects convenience on holiday and so it has been designed for a family - typically four adults and a bunch of kids - to enjoy the sun and the Spanish way of life.
