Totally renovated and refurbished. Heated private swimming pool. Fans in each bedroom. Sky TV. DVD. We provide free Wifi. Easy walking distance of the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. And in a peaceful part of town. The house is large enough for two families to holiday together- even has 2 lounges (one formal lounge and upper terrace lounge with CD) 2 kitchens (main fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, large fridge with drinks dispenser and upstairs summer kitchen in BBQ area the one we use the most!) extensive terraces with fruit trees and shrubs including lemons, limes, bananas, grapes, kiwis) and flower beds with fragrant shrubs. Large BBQ area with good sized table and chairs, charcoal BBQ, summer kitchen, superb bar with bar fridge/large terraces leading to pool terrace with sun beds. Heated private pool 18' x 9'. Large covered & open south facing terraces, flowerbeds and fruit trees. A lot of terrace area and eating inside and out areas.
Coast/Beach
La Herradura is a historic white village is situated on a steep hill with villa tropical near to the top. It is a 5 mins walk from the house to the beach, which has an abundance of shops, restaurants, beach bars, all round the bay. Boats for hire on the beach, sun beds and umbrellas.
Golf
The nearest golf course is in Salobrena approx 10 mins and another at Torres del Mar - 25 mins by car.
Skiing
Skiing is available in the Sierra Nevada, only one and a half hours drive away.
Travel
45 mins drive from Malaga to La Herradura and approx the same from Granada to La Herradura. Car hire is not essential to holiday in the area, there is a good bus service from Malaga and also locally to visit Nerja, Almunecar and further afield.
Distances
By bus or car it is 5 mins to Almunecar and the Marina and 10 mins in the opposite direction to Nerja.
Further details
There is a small Spanish shop,2 mins walk, selling 'everything', fresh bread every morning and a good selection of general needs. In the village centre there is a fresh produce market, open every day except Sunday, selling fresh fish, veg, fruit, meats, cheeses and bread. There are several banks and ATM machines in the village. An English library, open Wednesday mornings. Boats for hire, sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach.
