Casa Sauce (pronounced Sowoosay and meaning willow), is a superbly appointed villa situated in the olive producing community of Colina De La Virgen. The villa offers tranquil accommodation and enjoys uninterrupted views of the undulating olive groves and distant sierras. Lying 10km west of the historic town of Lucena, in the heart of Andalucia, Colina De La Virgen, is a small peaceful hamlet that maintains a sense of the real Spain, where ‘manana, manana’, remains compulsory. Despite its small size, the village boasts 2 bars/restaurants where traditional Spanish country cuisine is served. Being centrally located, it is the ideal spot for touring the major cities of Cordoba, Sevilla and Granada or for simply enjoying the countryside. The Subbeticas National Park and the emerald green waters of Lake Iznajar are a short drive away and a couple of kilometres down the road lie the secluded lagoons of Los Jaroles and Amarga, where bird watching is a must.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. Departures by 10am and arrivals no earlier than 4pm.

All towels and bed linen are provided. Please provide own towels for swimming pool. Welcome pack on arrival. Mid stay Cleaning is available at an extra charge. |
Notes on accommodation
The property is suitable for children and has heating and air conditioning throughout. A travel cot and high chair can be arranged at time of booking. Car hire essential. For services refer to information folder on arrival.
Outside
To the front of the villa is a shaded patio area with rattan sofa, chairs and table. To the rear of the property is a raised terrace adjoining bedroom 1 with table and chairs and overlooks the patio and swimming pool area. The patio and large pool (9x5m) are enclosed and provide optimum privacy. Sun loungers are provided and there is an outdoor shower. There is a covered pagoda with large table and six chairs for alfresco dining. BBQ and night lights.
Coast/Beach
The Costa del Sol is approx 1 hour drive. Alternatively, there is a beach at Lake Iznajar in the Subbeticas National Park which is approx 30 mins drive. Kayaks, pedalos and water skiing is available.
Travel
Malaga Airport approx 1 hour. Granada Airport approx 1 hour. Seville Airport approx 1.5 hours.
Distances
Subbeticas National Park and Lake Iznajar approx 30 mins. The historic town of Lucena is 10 mins by car, where all amenities are available. Cordoba and Granada approx 1 hour.
Further details
The area is ideal for bird watching and walking. Lucena is well worth a visit for its historic churches and 15th Century castle where the tourist information centre is located. There is a traditional covered market in the centre open 6 days a week and the main market is every Wednesday. We have two adult mountain bikes and one childs bike available for use free of charge. Please arrange at time of booking.

A non - refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before arrival.
