This new 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment is in the exclusive development of Carmenes Del Mar overlooking the bay of La Herradura and 5 minutes from the beach. The apartment is approximately 10 minutes from Nerja on the new autovia and 10 minutes from Almunecar. La Herradura is a quiet, very Spanish seaside resort, with many restaurants, bars serving tapas, shops and a market, ideal for a relaxing family holiday. La Herradura has a PADI registered diving centre, a wind surfing and sailing school, horse riding and golf courses are readily available, and there is a water park in Almunecar. The coast from Nerja to La Herradura is an area of outstanding natural beauty and has been designated a natural park, with wonderful views, secluded beaches and pine clad mountains.

Changeover day
Saturday is our changover day but we can adjust if previous bookings allow.

Notes on accommodation
The air-conditioning has both hot(ideal for Autumn and winter rentals) and cold programmes. There is a childrens pool as well as the main pool. Smoking is only permitted on the terrace. Pets are not allowed.

Level acces to the apartment by lift, internal door widths 0.8m. Pool and garden area has wheelchair access.

Coast/Beach
The beach at La Herradura is 5 minutes by car, there are numerous other beaches, all within a 15 minute drive.
Golf
Baviera, 18 holes, journey time 30 minutes. Anoreta, 18 holes, journey time 40 minutes. Motril-playa 18 holes, journey time 30 minutes.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada ski resort is approximately 90 minutes drive away.
Travel
Car hire is essential to enjoy this scenic area.
La Herradura is 60 minutes from Malaga airport (Easyjet, BA, Monarch, etc.) and 80 minutes from Granada airport(Ryanair, Monarch).
Distances
20 minutes drive to Nerja (10 minutes by autovia)
10 minutes drive to Almunecar (shops, large street market, loads of bars, restaurants and night life).
60 minutes drive to Granada and the Alhambra Palace, this is a must, can be booked on the internet, advisable in the summer months.

Booking notes
Payment is requested in sterling. There is a 30% deposit when booking and the balance 8 weeks before commencement of holiday. In addition to the above we require a 10% refundable deposit.
