Changeover day
During high season, changeover day is Saturday. At other times this could be flexible. No arrival before 5pm and vacation of villa be 12noon. Due to a change in ferry timetables summer bookings can be flexable please ask.

Large pool approx. 8 metres x 4 metres with roman steps leading into the water. Underwater lighting for those nice warm evening swims. Outdoor shower (useful for young children).

Coast/Beach
There is a small local beach a 2.5 km walk away and a choice of many other beaches a short drive away. Playa de Santa Marina, one of the longest beaches in Asturias, complete with Dinosaur prints is 5.5 kilometres away.

Skiing
For winter skiing the Pico de Europe Mountains are within an hours drive.

Special interest holidays
Very popular for canoeing, horse riding, fishing, quad biking, surfing and walking/hill climbing.

Travel
Aviles Airport (Austurias) or Santander Airport are approx. one hour 15 min drive away. Easy access by motorway.
For those of you wanting to travel by car, there is the nearby port of Santander.

Distances
The local village is only 5 kms away which has a pretty old quarter with cafes, restaurants and bars. It is home to the Bastillo caves containing some of the most important paleolithic cave paintings in europe. Oviedo (the capital of Austurias) and Gijon are within an hours drive.

Close proximity to horse riding, walking and the beach.
The local village has a wealth of good restaurants to suit every taste. There is also a supermarket, bars, cafes, bakery, banks etc. Two restaurants are only a two minute walk away. You will also find rail and bus links to the rest of Spain.

About the owner
I am now retired, living in Italy, and when possible come to Asturias to enjoy the peace and quiet of this stunning area. With mountains, rivers and beaches. The slow pace of life, good cheese, fish and local cider make for a wonderful holiday.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
There are not a lot of villas with a pool in this area. The pool makes it a complete package. Set in a semi rural location yet only a few minutes drive to the town of Ribadesella. Good restaurants and the beach are with in walking distance. Great when no one has to drive. With views of the mountain, and the quiet of the country side we have the best of both worlds.

Unique benefits of the property
The villa is completly private and enclosed ,acess only by a remote operated electronic gate. Stone built BBQ, 1,230 ms2 of garden, and a 8x4 pool with roman steps.
