The casita is a very tranquil place to stay, positioned as it is on a hill overlooking the "Rio Seco" valley which leads down to Almunecar town. The garden of the property is planted with all manner of tropical fruit including avocados, Nisperos, Oranges, Lemons, Mandarin oranges, Peaches, Apples, Lychees, Bananas etc. The property is situated in a fruit growing area and the entire view from the property is lush and green.

Changeover day
Saturday is the preferred changeover day but at quiet times this is negotiable.

Towels, including swimming towels and linen are included. Towels and linen are changed weekly (Saturday). Guests are asked to maintain a good standard of cleaning but the property will be cleaned prior to arrival. |

Outside
The terrace immediately outside the casita is for sole use of guests.
There are outside chairs and sunloungers for the use of guests.
The pool is shared with the owner who is at work most days as a teacher at the local International School.
Coast/Beach
The town of Almunecar with its beaches and many bars and restaurants is 3 miles or a 10 minute drive away. This is a 40 minute walk away down the dry river bed, "Rio Seco".
Nerja, with its many beaches, is only a 30 minute drive to the west and Salobrena is a similar distance to the east.
There is a good choice of beaches to the East and West of Almunecar town.
Skiing
Almunecar is a convenient location for skiing in the Sierra Nevada (1.25 hour drive).
Ski equipment can be hired at the resort or in Almunecar.
Travel
Malaga airport and Granada airports can both be reached within 1 and a half hours by car.
Car hire is recommended.

Further details
There are many shops, supermarkets and banks in Almunecar (3 miles) including a daily produce market.
Each Friday there is a large market in Almunecar.
This is an ideal place to stay if you require beautiful and peaceful accommodation, but be close enough to the coast for restaurants, beaches, etc.
The Mountain Nature Reserve and Zoo, Pena Escrita, is in the mountains, 6 miles behind the house, on a good road.
The owner is a keen walker and can recommend good walks in the Sierra Almijarra (the mountain range behind Nerja) and in the Alpujarras.
Booking notes
Once your booking has been accepted by email and/or telephone, a 25% deposit (non-returnable) should be paid within one week by transfer to the owner's UK bank account. The full balance should be paid at least 8 weeks in advance of the holiday. Please include a returnable deposit of £50 in addition in case of accidental damage.
Normal cancellation arrangements will apply.
