The house overlooks one of Catalonia's 8 natural parks which covers 13,000 hectacres of beautiful mountain scenery. There are steps leading directly down to one of the paths in the park and the walking is excellent. The house has a log fire as well as central heating for the colder winter months and is sunny but cooler than the cities in the summer.

Notes on accommodation
The property is suitable for young children as long as they are supervised. The house is situated on the side of a hill and there is a considerable drop from the roof terrace. There is a paddling pool and some childrens toys, videos and books. There are steps leading down to the woods and children should not climb them without supervision

There is a terrace at the front of the house, one at the side with shade and a large roof terrace. There is a hammock, garden table with seating for 6, 2 garden chairs, 2 loungers and parasols. There is also a barbecue.

The nearest beach is Barcelona itelf and Sitges is about 45 minutes drive. The pretty beaches and coves of the Costa Brava are about one and a half hours drive.

Golf
There is a golf course in Castellar, the nearest town.

Skiing
The house is situated about an hour and a half from La Molina, the nearest ski resort.

Travel
The nearest airport is Barcelona at 45 mins drive.
Girona airport is 90 minutes drive.
A car is recommended.

Distances
Barcelona is 30 minutes drive or 35 train from Sabadell which the nearest train station.
Castellar is a small town which has banks supermarkets etc
Montserrat is 30 minutes drive.

Further details
The village of Sant Feliú del Racó has an attractive romanesque church, a swimming pool, a bar/social club which serves food and two restaurants. There is a small shop and nearby Castellar has a market, supermarkets, banks etc. There are numerous restaurants in the surrounding towns and villages and Mura, Talamanca and Granera are worth visiting.

Booking notes
A refundable deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking to secure the booking and as a deposit against damage or breakages. The full amount of the rental is payable 8 weeks before departure.
