Modern and very spacious 3 bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment in Calahonda, a secure, privately run residential complex located less than 5 minutes walk from a secluded local beach covered in golden sand with its own beach chiringito (bar/restaurant)
Whilst Calahonda Park itself is quiet and peaceful, the town of Calahonda offers numerous good quality restaurants, live entertainment, supermarkets and other smaller shops, all within walking distance of the apartment.
Local markets and golf courses are only a short journey away either by car or public transport. It's also only 15-20 minutes away from larger resorts such as Marbella and Fuengirola.

We are also able to offer shorter breaks at this property - minimum 3 nights - during the months November - April.

Changeover day
At this apartment the summer months of July and August the changeover day for 2012 will be Wednesday - all other months we try to be as flexible as possible. Please check with me before you book your flights and l will try to accommodate your wishes.

Second very spacious bedroom with 3 full size single beds.
Third bedroom has twin beds.
All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and plenty of drawer space.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to master bedroom - bath with shower over, WC, bidet and wash basin.
Family bathroom is extra large and has bath with shower over, bidet, WC and wash basin.
Kitchen: Large fridge/freezer, hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, coffee maker, toaster, kettle etc. The kitchen is fully equipped for a self-catering party.
Living Rooms: The lounge/diner is comfortably furnished with a formal dining suite and 2 very large plump settees. There is a TV with satellite connection giving you all the usual UK channels plus a few more, video, CD/radio stereo and a Playstation2.
Other: Have also added a few videos, lots of books and boardgames for those moments when a little entertainment is needed.
There is a local video hire shop for a wider choice.

linen/maid service:
When you arrive the apartment would have been cleaned, beds made up & on each bed space a bath and hand towel will have been placed. For stays of more than 10 nights there will be a mid-holiday or weekly linen & towel change.

Notes on accommodation
The apartments are set in mature landscaped gardens with 2 swimming pools, car parking, and lifts to all floors. Within the community the walkways from the apartment to both swimming pools are without steps making it pushchair friendly. Our 3rd floor apartment has a large separate fully equipped kitchen. Throughout there is full air-conditioning with a heating option for the cooler evenings. Bedrooms have built in wardrobes, plenty of draw space and there are 2 full bathrooms.
The large lounge/diner leads onto a spacious terrace with dining furniture and sunbeds and it overlooks the gardens with the Mediterranean Sea in the background.
There is an on-complex Restaurant 'Irvings' & in less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment there are more bars, restaurants and a choice of supermarkets. As it is just 300m away from golden sandy beaches with a bar/restaurant where you can buy anything from a beer to a full meal this apartment is ideally placed for a real, lazy family holiday.

Outside
Outside there are extensive gardens with 2 pools for your enjoyment - although as you are just 300m from a lovely beach these may be redundant.
I Have included beach chairs, a couple of sun beds and there are always buckets & spades for the sandcastle competitions!

Coast/Beach
The local beach - Golden Beach is just 300m from the complex. It is sandy with some rocky outcrops, good for paddling and finding crabs. There is a really good beach bar restaurant overlooking the sea and sand. They serve great food at sensible prices - or just call in for a cooling drink. It is also nice to walk along the beach to Cabopino Marina - about 10 minute walk - here there are, of course, the boats in the harbour but also 2 really great beaches, very popular with families.

Golf
There are many Golf Courses locally - the area is know as the 'Costa del Golf'.
The closest are. La Siesta - Calahonda - a 9-hole short course. Cabopino - a good 18-hole course. Miraflores - a testing 18-hole course. La Cala Golf Resort is just a 10-minute drive and has 3 championship standard golf courses for you to choose from. There are many more and l can send a list with contact phone numbers to clients who are interested. Often there are local offers available for these courses.

Travel
Malaga Airport is a pleasant 45 minute drive away. Car is not necessary at this apartment - both bus and taxis are nearby.
Can also arrange a private airport transfer for you with a properly registered and licensed company.

Distances
Marbella - 15km. Puerto Banus 20km. Fuengirola 15km. Malaga 40km. Gibraltar 1 hour. Ronda 1 hour. Mijas Pueblo 30 mins.

Further details
The apartments are only 250m from supermarkets, banks, shops, bars and restaurants - and the complex has its own restaurant - Irvings- at the entrance. A coastal highway, the A7 (N340), travelling between the mountains and the sea, links all the resorts between Gibraltar and Nerja. With our apartment centrally located sightseeing is so simple. Within easy reach are the renowned cities of Granada and Seville. Gibraltar with the famous Rock Monkeys and Dolphin Cruises is 60 minute drive. Venture a little inland and explore the many white villages such as Casares, Gaucin, Mijas and Benahavis or take a trip to Ronda with its ancient Bull Ring, Arab Baths and the breathtaking gorge. For the active holiday-maker every sport imaginable is available within a short distance - even snow skiing. We are also right in the middle of the 'Costa del Golf' with more than 30 golf courses within a 30 minute drive.

We also request a £200 Security Deposit that is returned to you once I have the keys and apartment back.

About the owner
Have lived in Spain for 12 years - can not think of anywhere else I would rather live. Find the friendliness of all who live and holiday here refreshing. This particular area of the Costa del Sol is a vibrant and exciting place to be. Huge variety of things to do - ranging from lazing in the sun to museums and roman ruins. Every sport under the sun (literally!) is available within the area - how can you not have a great holiday!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Wanted an apartment for the larger families ... hence this one at 120sqm is the same size as the average 3 bed house in the UK. Walk to everything and just 300 metres from the beach. Ideal for the family.

Unique benefits of the property
So easy to have the holiday that you like - be it sitting in the sun with a good book or out exploring the many facinating places there are to see within easy driving distance. For the golfer - you could overdose with the number of good courses within just a few minutes of the properties.
