Our luxury 2 bedroom, air conditioned, apartment is situated in the exclusive ‘Los Cisnes’ complex of Isla Canela, a brand new development (completed December 2005), that’s only a few metres from the beach! It has landscaped gardens, swimming pools, a tennis court and an amazing sea view! The Isla Canela resort comprises of a golf course, 7km of wide sandy beaches, a modern leisure marina, shops, restaurants, and cafes. This is the perfect apartment for a great family holiday (sleeps and caters 4/6). It’s clean and light, finished to a very high standard, fully air-conditioned, with 2 bathrooms and a substantial south–west facing sun terrace for soaking up the afternoon and evening sun. Not only that the beach front is only a few metres away with a superb ocean outlook and a ground floor position that puts your mind at ease whilst the kids are rushing about so you can sit back, relax and enjoy your very own slice of beach bliss!

South West facing sun terrace should mean you receive the sun throughout the afternoon and late into the evening.

Coast/Beach
On the Costa de la Luz you will find some of the most incredible beaches in Spain, with whiter and finer sands than their Mediterranean counterparts. Stretching almost the entire coastline, the beaches are typically framed by sand dunes and pine trees creating natural, rugged landscapes. The beaches of Isla Canela are truly breathtaking. The island boasts over 7km (5 miles) of fine sandy beach beside the clean Atlantic Ocean. It is 40m wide on average, a lot wider than most beach.

The 18 hole, par 72 links golf course on the island was completed in 1994. It is well established and popular with residents on the island, visitors and holiday makers alike. Set in a beautiful landscape dotted with olive, orange and eucalyptus trees, it offers challenging and entertaining play on its gentle sloped dunes. There are scores of other courses nearby, both on the Portuguese Algarve and spread throughout the Costa de la Luz.

Travel
Isla Canela enjoys excellent communications with Spain, Portugal and the rest of Europe. The closest airport is Faro in Portugal, just 45 mins away by car along a scenic motorway. Entering Spain via the bridge at Ayamonte there are no customs or border controls making travel swift. Several airlines fly to Faro from many airports in the UK and the flight time is fairly short. Car hire is strongly recommended for you to get the most from your stay.

Distances
Ayamonte is about a 5 mins drive from the apartment. Ayamonte stands high above the river Guadiana and appears to be gazing towards Portugal. It is a frontier town and an important fishing port. Its maritime character is further enhanced by its dockyards and other naval trappings.

Isla Canela is located in a tranquil and unspoiled area on the western part of the Andalusia coastline facing the Atlantic Ocean. It is a natural island connected by a road bridge to Ayamonte in the province of Huelva. It is situated very close to the border of Portugal in an area also known as the Spanish Algarve. It shares the charms of both Spain and Portugal with all their advantages. It is a fantastic region for enjoying sun, beach, sailing, golf, cycling, culture and scenic nature reserves and bird sanctuaries.

Booking notes
An initial 20% deposit is required on confirmation of booking. Full payment is required at least 8 weeks before the intended visit (where possible, short notice rentals, will be dealt with on a case by case basis). There will be a security deposit of 200 euros on receipt of the keys.
