An ideal location for exploring the local flora and fauna with walks starting 50m from the front door or visiting the historic city of Granada, ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada or villages of the Alpujarra. The house has been renovated to a very high standard providing comfortable accommodation on three floors with an amazing view from the top floor living area. For those who wish to relax the property affords 2 roof terraces from where you may see eagles soaring above whilst chilling out with a glass of something and a good book.

| Utility Room: | A washing machine is provided set into its own recess away from the living areas. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge/dining area is situated on the top floor to take advantage of the views through the large double glazed feature window. Sofa for 4, armchair, coffee table, music centre, tv, dining table and chairs, dresser, woodburning stove. |

Towels and linen included, as is the cleaning. Beach towels included. |
Notes on accommodation
Our house has been inspected and is registered with the local tourist office.
Wood is provided for the stove. Electric heaters in bedrooms and bathrooms. Fans for summer.
We regret the accommodation is not suitable for children under 12 or the infirm.
Pets not accepted. No smoking inside the house.
Outside
There are 2 roof terraces one with table and chairs, the other being private with recliners. Both have panoramic views of the valley. Ground floor patio with table, chairs and plants. Barbecue on roof terrace. We own various plots of land close to the house for a change of scenery and fresh fruit and vegtables in season.
Coast/Beach
Salobrena with its beach restaurants and historic castle is 45 minutes by car.
Golf
There are 4 golf courses in Granada province of 18holes. The 18 hole Granada course in Las Gabias is 30 minutes away where the owner is a member and can prebook tee times if required. For those preferring sea views the course at Motril (Los Moriscos) is 40 minutes with the club house set next to the beach.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada ski resort is less than one hour away.
Travel
Flights are available direct to Granada (45 mins by car) from Liverpool, East Midlands, London Stansted, Milan and Frankfurt with Ryanair and London Gatwick with Monarch Airlines. Malaga is 2 hours by car and serves other European and regional airports.
Distances
Granada city is 30 minutes by car. Durcal the local market town is 20 minutes by car. Towns of the Alpujarra are within an hour by car.
Further details
Albunuelas is situated in the valley of the Rio Santo and enjoys a microclimate which enables the growing of tropical fruits. There are plenty of walks including a section of the famous GR7. We have our own plots of land with fruit and vegetables available depending on the season. Fishing is available on Lake Beznar and we can give you the contact details for obtaining a Spanish fishing licence. The owners live next door and can arrange horseriding or escorted walks. The area provides excellent birdwatching. During the spring there is an abundance of wild flowers, almond and orange blossom scents mingle with the scents of the wild herbs in the mountains. The village has bars and restaurants, shops and a bank. Bread, fish and vegetables are available from vans which visit the village in the mornings.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required to confirm the booking with the remainder due 4 weeks in advance of the arrival date. Should you require to cancel after making the booking and we are able to re-rent those dates a full refund will be given. We can provide a basic food pack for late arrivals, ask for details.

It's been great to see a bit of real Spanish life and thank you to Ann & Nick for making us feel so welcome and giving us an in sight into village life. A trip to the plots and fresh fruit and veg were a treat.
We have told you how much we appreciated the house, not only lovely,beautifully decorated,but so well equipped. The bathrooms are a delight.
The 'casa' is excellent and very well equipped with everything we needed. The village and surroundin area are a joy and the locals very friendly.
The walks around the villages and valley were amazing and a good workout after the delicious Spanish food.
