Changeover day

Outside
Small enclosed garden. 2 patio areas both equipped with table, chairs and parasols. First floor patio has 4 sun loungers and overlooks pool area. Shared unheated pool with kiddies pool incorporated, grassed surround to pool.
Coast/Beach
The closest beach is a 5 minute drive away, the sand dunes stretch for almost 20km. Sections of this beach are patrolled in the summer months by life guards, refreshment facilities are available too. The towns of Torrevieja and Guardamar are 10 mins away.
Golf
The Villa is 15 mins drive from 3 top quality golf courses with 3 more within 30 mins drive and La Manga an hour away.
Villamartin has hosted the Spanish Open, La Finca offers a tough but fair test with plenty of variety and La Marquesa at Quesada (the closest) is great holiday golf offering a chance for most golfers to score well whilst offering a fair challenge to more experienced players. The greens are tricky but true on all the courses and very enjoyable to play on. All the clubs mentioned have excellent facilities and are very friendly and welcoming to visitors. Whilst it is best to book tee times in advance you can sometimes turn up and play. Green fees vary and, whilst it isn't 'cheap' wherever you go, it is well worth the effort. I've played in shorts as early as mid March and the courses do seem to be a bit quieter around this time of year.
Special interest holidays
There's good diving aound the Costa Blanca and we have contacts for 2 local PADI dive centres who offer a full range of courses, instruction or just an opportunity to experience the sea in a unique way.
Travel
Alicante airport is approx 35 minutes drive away and
Murcia airport is a 30 minute drive via the motorway. It is possible to reach the villa by taxi or bus but a car is recommended. Car hire can be arranged at both airports, airport pickups can be arranged at an extra cost.
Distances
Elche has a large Palm forest and is an historic old town it is a half hour drive from the villa. Alicante town is approx 40 minutes away and has many attractions. Cartagena is an hour's drive away and has an interesting port and old town
Further details
There are two water parks in the area one in Quesada and one in Torrevieja. The local market is on Sunday throughout the year. Torrevieja has a range of water sports that can be arranged on the beach including scuba diving and para-scending.
