Casa Cerretillo is a beautifully maintained, spacious, detached rustic house, with hints of the region’s Moorish past. It is nestled on El Cerretillo with uninterrupted and stunning views of the rolling olive hills, Mount Tinosa and the village of Algarinejo. Being situated along a short track just above the road means this quiet position is easily accessible. Enter from the private driveway into fully gated south facing patio and private 10x5 metre pool with sun terrace, this is a wonderful place to feel closer to nature whilst still enjoying all the creature comforts of home – (SAT-TV, PS2 available). Enjoy the local flora and fauna - walking, cycling, riding, birdwatching (and almond blossom appreciating!). With the historical city of Granada only 1 hour and Iznajar lake and beach 30mins away and many historic villages locally - you can get the best of both worlds. This 3 bed house with separate kitchen, dining room and lounge is perfect for a family holiday.

Changeover day
Flexible. However normally our guests arrive after 4pm and check out before 11am. If you have different requirements, please let us know.
Notes on accommodation
All our rooms are simply and stylishly furnished with windows onto the south facing patio – Our guests tell us that they sleep better than they’ve ever slept before! Excellent quality bed-linen and towels are provided as well as hairdryers and basic toiletries. Green Creds: The whole house is temperature controlled using the energy saving heat-pump and fan-coil system which provides a 'natural' room temperature (Around 17-21 degrees). Plentiful hot water is provided by our solar panels. Children: We can provide a cot or extra bed if required. We also have highchair, baby easy chair, bottle sterilizer, infant playmat and stair gate. Please request these when making your booking. Understairs cupboard providing iron, ironing board, clothes airer and some basic essentials in our ‘honesty shop’. Herbs and spices provided (we kindly ask that you replace what you finish).
Accessibility
The approach to the property is a sloping driveway and the Azul room is at ground floor level with one very small step from the patio area. There is toilet and shower room also at ground level (though not en-suite - access is through the dining room). Dining room is accessed from the patio area and there is one small step.
Outside
We have a beautiful south facing walled patio planted with grapes, honeysuckle, jasmine lavender and geraniums with seating and tables for dining and relaxing and intimate views of the olive hills across the valley. Our south facing 10x5 metres pool and sun terrace offers uninterrupted views. Sun loungers and parasols also provided.
Enjoy picking the figs, pomegranates, almonds and apricots from around the house when they are in season.

The coast is 90mins away.
Iznajar lakeside beach 30mins away.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada resort opens from December to May and caters for all ages and abilities. Only 90 mins drive from Casa Cerretillo.
Travel
Granada Airport is 50 mins drive.
Malaga Airport is 90 mins drive.
Car hire is essential.
Distances
Algarinejo with local shops, bars and restaurants and swimming pool is 10 mins drive or 40mins walk (down hill).
Priego de Cordoba and the Sierra Subbetica (with many archaeological sites) 30-45 mins drive.
Granada city centre/Alhambra is 60 mins drive.
Cordoba with the historic Mezquita is 90 mins drive.
Malaga is 90 mins drive.
Further details
Algarinejo has many rural walks which are lovely ways to explore the local, undiscovered countryside. It also has 2 banks, several grocery shops, bars. There is a Saturday market and a recently opened tourist information office.

The house was everything we had hoped for and more. It was very cosy and we really felt that every detail had been thought through so that we had all the essentials for a comfortable stay in self catering accommodation - really a home away from home- but in quite extraordinarily stunning surroundings and the wonderfully private pool was just perfect for us too.
