The Albatros Residencial development has secure gated access and benefits from a superb 20m pool with separate children’s pool and landscaped gardens with water features. It is a mere 6-7 minute stroll from the fabulous white sand beaches of the Mar Menor, whose crystal clear, shallow waters are ideal for families and children. Nearest airport: 2 miles (Murcia/San Javier). Nearest golf courses: Roda Beach and Golf Resort 1 mile. La Serena 2 miles. The 3 golf courses at the world famous La Manga club are within a 20 minute drive. Nearest bars, restaurants, banks and shops: Less than 3 minutes walk.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. Check in times to be arranged individually. 10 or 11 night breaks can sometimes be accommodated out of the peak holiday season of July and August.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | 2 bedrooms each with twin single beds and double wardrobes. There is a sofa bed in the lounge and a travel cot is also provided for families with toddlers. |
| Bathrooms: | Single bathroom with vanity unit, bath, shower, toilet and bidet. |
| Kitchen: | Stylish fully fitted kitchen with marble worktops and all new appliances, including fridge/freezer, 1000 spin washer/dryer, oven, hob and microwave. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge of our apartment is spacious and is equiped with TV/DVD, Sky TV, L-shaped sofa, and dining for up to 6 people. It has a large balcony which gets the sun in the morning and the shade in the afternoon. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Clean bed linen, hand and bath towels are provided at the start of each let. For 2 weeks lets, a mid-holiday clean and linen change can be arranged and paid for with our local cleaner. Please bring your own towels for use on the beach. |
Notes on accommodation
The property is presented for rental as a non-smoking apartment. For the benefit of other holiday makers, any smokers that rent the property must respect this and not smoke inside the apartment itself. Please note that the apartment is furnished to a very high standard, rather than the typical cheap pine furniture packs found in many rental properties.
Accessibility
The Albatros Complex has a ramp for wheelchair access and lifts to the upper floors. The pool area also has good access for wheelchair users and people with mobility problems.
Outside
The apartment balcony has a table and 4 chairs and the communal pool area has a separate children's area, landscaped gardens and water features.
Coast/Beach
For diving enthusiasts, the Hormigas Islands near Cabo de Palos are acknowledged by scuba divers as being one of Spain’s premier dive sites and there are dive centres along the Costa Calida and Costa Blanca coasts at Mazzaron and Aguilas. Other water sports - The shallow waters and warm winds of the Mar Menor make it ideal for both windsurfing and kite boarding, both of which can be hired from various shops and schools along the Mar Menor shoreline. Jet skiing is also very popular.
Golf
Keen golfers will be delighted to learn that they will be spoilt for choice, with no less than 10 golf courses in the area with more being built. These include Roda Beach and Golf and La Serena in Los Alcazares itself and Hacienda del Alamo, Polaris World, Mosa Trajectum, La Manga (which actually has 3 courses alone), Campoamor, Villamartin and Las Ramblas, all within a 25-30 minute drive.
Travel
The nearest airport is Murcia/San Javier, which is a mere 5 minute drive from the apartment. Alicante airport is a practical alternative about an hour's drive away. Given the closeness of the nearby airport, a car is not essential, however the Costa Calida area rewards those that are prepared to get out and about and explore its wonderful towns and cities such as the Capital Murcia, the historic towns of Cartagena and Lorca and the holy city of Caravaca de la Cruz.
Distances
Murcia 40 mins by car, but better accessed by train from the nearby train station at Balsicas. La Manga 20 minutes. Cartagena 30 mins. Lorca 1 hour. Caravaca 1 hour 15 mins. Orihuela 50 mins.
Further details
The Mar Menor Ferry picks up from the sailing school at the nearby Las Palmeras beach between 15 June - 15 September and visits La Manga marina and the islands of the Mar Menor. A 1 hour and 45 minute trip costs only 10 euros. Aquapolis Water Fun Park near Torrevieja also opens from 15 June to 15 September, and is an excellent fun day out for all the family, providing a welcome opportunity to do some serious cooling off during the height of the summer when the mercury hits the top of the glass in the thermometer. There is also the Terra Natura Safari and Water park in Murcia, about a 35-40 minute drive away.
Booking notes
Prices are per week based on a maximum of 4 occupants. There is a cost of £25 per additional person. A non-refundable deposit of £75 is payable to secure the booking, with the remaining balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure. A security deposit of £75 is also payable at this time to cover loss of keys/replacement locks and/or any damage to the apartment or its contents. This deposit will be returned to you subject to the safe return of the keys and no damage or breakages during your stay.
