The house is a newly built but traditional village house; it has been finished to a very high standard whilst keeping with the traditional feel of an Andalucian village house. Built over two floors with a lovely courtyard with pool and a roof terrace with amazing views of the valley and the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada. Casa Colmena has two bedrooms and lovely bathroom and Sleeps up to 6 people. (Bed settee in lounge). It has satellite TV, DVD, open fire place, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a lovely spacious lounge with views of the valley. The house is surrounded by countryside and great walks.

Changeover day
Changeover days and departure times can be flexible depending on existing bookings.

Notes on accommodation
Unsuitable for people with impaired mobility due to the stairs. Caution with small children as pool is 2 metres deep.
Outside
Outside the property has a very pretty courtyard with traditional stonework and private pool. The house also has a great roof terrace with table and chairs, sunbeds and views of snowcapped mountains.
Coast/Beach
The closest beach is the wonderful coastal town of Salobrena, approximately 35 minutes drive.
There are various beaches and resorts further along the coast including secluded bays and larger resort towns.
Golf
There are two golf courses in Granada (35 minutes) and more on the coast of Costa Tropical (30 mins).
Skiing
Skiing is approximately one hours drive away at the Sierra Nevada Ski resort of Sol Y Nieve (venue of the 1996 world ski championship). The resort is one of the highest in Europe and has a season from mid December to May. Ski hire and passes are available at the resort or in Granada. Ski school is available. 70Km ski runs, 45 pistes, 300 snow machines and floodlite night skiing.
Special interest holidays
We can arrange cookery and painting courses in the Lecrin valley. We can also provide walking maps, sightseeing tours and many other activites on offer in the surrounding area
Travel
Granada Airport is the closest 30 minutes from our houses. Malaga Airport is approximately two hours drive away.
Car hire is essential.
Distances
Saleres is surrounded by other small villages with plenty of supermarkets, bars and resturants to choose from. The historical city of Granada is 35 minutes drive with its famous Alhambra palace. The spa town of Lanjaron is within easy reach.
Further details
A bread van visits the village every day, listen out for the horn about 9am for your fresh bread and croissants.
Guided walks are available in the valley as well we can arrange cycling, horse riding and fishing. There are several swimming pools nearby some with restaurants attached.

50% non refunable deposit is required on booking with remaining balance payable four weeks before arrival.
