The apartment is ideally situated in a vibrant residential area of Salobrena only 5-10 mins stroll from the beach. The pretty, flower lined street in the lower part of the old town is very close to parks, shops, bars/restaurants and market square. While you may feel a car would enhance your stay, the location of the apartment and good public transport means this is not essential. The apartment is available for long lets at very reasonable rates and is an excellent base from which to explore southern Spain.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. The apartment is available for lets of up to 12 months - POA. An additional £25/week will be charged for 3-4 persons. Prices in Euros are based on a 1.5 exchange rate.

Changeover day
We attemt to be as flexible as possible regarding changeover days. The apartment will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

Bedrooms: Bedroom with double bed, plenty of wardrobe space. Ceiling fan.
Bathrooms: Spacious bathroom with bath/shower over, WC, bidet and wash hand basin.
Kitchen: Well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, washing machine, small electric oven, gas hob, kettle and all essential equipment.
Living Rooms: The living room has a sofa bed which converts to a small double bed with sprung mattress, a TV, DVD player, stereo (with card reader and USB connectivity) and a dining table with 4 chairs. Gas heater.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
The bedding and bathroom towels provided are changed on a weekly basis. A cleaning service is available for an additional fee.

 

Notes on accommodation
Located in the lower part of the old town, there is only a short climb to reach the apartment. Although the apartment is located on the ground floor there are a few steps to the main entrance so would be unsuitable for anyone with severe walking difficulties. The television only receives a handful of spanish channels so feel free to bring DVD/CDs for your entertainment. Although there is a garage directly below the apartment there are no available spaces however there is plenty of parking available nearby. An entry-phone system provides security.

Outside
There is access to a large communal roof terrace with views to the sea and space for drying washing.

Coast/Beach
A 5-10 minute stroll will bring you to Salobrena's wide beach, split in two by Peñon rock. The beach boasts several 'chiringuitos' (beach bars), popular restaurants and bars, gift shops, a cyber cafe and facilities such as pedalo and jet ski hire. From Salobrena it is possible to enjoy walks along the coast in one of the few remaining attractive rural areas on southern Spain, where sugar cane grows and nature has not been pushed aside by over development.

Golf
Los Mosiscos Club de Golf is only a 10 minute drive away.

Skiing
The ski resort of the Sierra Nevada is only 90 minutes away by car.

Travel
Salobrena is about an hour by car from Granada airport and about 75 mins from Malaga airport. The airport to Almeria is just over 90 mins away. Although Granada is the closest airport those not wishing to hire a car may find the public transport from Malaga slightly better.

Distances
The historic city of Granada and the beautiful Alhambra palace are about an hour drive at the foot of the beautiful Sierra Nevada. While the bustling city of Malaga is just over an hour away. There are regular bus services to these cities and beyond from Salobrena. The local towns of Motril and Almunecar are a short drive/bus journey away boasting a variety of shops, bars, restaurants and leisure activities.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking with the remainder being due 6 weeks prior to departure. Payment to be made in pounds stirling directly into UK bank account. A 100 euros security deposit is required upon arrival at the apartment.
