Cortijo La Loma is situated outside Pitres in the heart of the Alpujarras, with breathtaking views amidst the peace and tranquility of the surrounding countryside. Pitres is a small picturesque village of some 600 inhabitants and is at the centre of the high Alpujarras, an hour’s drive from Granada and 50 minutes away from the coastal town of Motril and its beaches. The cottage itself is newly built in the typical Andalusian style and offers all mod cons for maximum comfort.

Notes on prices
Prices shown are for the property per week in euros. Entry day in June, July or August is Saturday or Sunday. Midweek bookings will carry a surcharge of 100 euros during these months. The pool is functioning from 1 May to 15 October inclusive.

Changeover day
During June, July and August changeover is Saturday or Sunday. Midweek to mid week bookings will carry a surcharge of 100 Euros as we lose the rest of that week. At other times of the year we try and let clients come any day. Check in time after 5pm.

Outside
Outside the cottage there is a 50m˛ porch where guests can relax in the shade, enjoy the views and really feel at one with nature. The whole cottage is surrounded with sub-tropical plants and fruits.
There is also an 8 x 4 metre swimming pool at the guests’ disposal which has varying depths and is thus suitable for children as well as adults. From the swimming pool the views are tremendous and on clear days it is even possible to glimpse the sea and the faraway mountains of North Africa.
The cottage has private parking directly in front of the property and there is a barbecue available for enjoying the gastronomic delights of the area.

About the owner
Hi Most people ask how long I have been here. The answer is 15 years - and I only came here for a month originally, so beware this place is addictive; I have clients who have just made their 19th visit. Ferreirola is a tiny village in the mountains about an hour 15 minutes from Granada but actually a world away.Visitors have compared the area to Nepal or the Atlas mountains but, to me, it is an unique haven from the world, - beautiful, safe, with clear air and light and populated by real people. Come here if you love walking, mountains, or just lazing in the sun and reading. We have a great collection of books. Mostly you will find that you just sit and stare at the scenery in amazement and listen to the silence - possible from the terrace of one of the bars in the nearby villages!
