Adults can enjoy a drink at the poolside bar or relax on any of five terraces including the vine-shaded courtyard. The extensive gardens are stocked with peach, fig and pomegranate trees. The villa is located in the Subbetica National Park- a delight for wildlife enthusiasts. Spend the lazy afternoons watching flocks of Bee-Eaters or Hoopoes in the olive groves.

Highly suitable for children as the villa is totally self-contained and walled all round. Also, lockable gate to the walled pool area.
Solar panels for hot water in summer.

Private 9m x 5m swimming pool. Provides covered catering/bar area with hatchway to kitchen, plus drinks cooler, sink and entertainments system. Gas barbeque, covered seating area. Sunloungers, table and chairs, umbrellas, pool games. Vine-covered cobbled patio leads to pool area. Gardens to side with pomegranate, almond, cherry and fig trees, rosemary and lavendar bushes as well as sun terrace. Steps at front of house lead down to two extensive sun terraces with stunning views over Lake Iznajar and barbeque area. Additional gardens including almond, cherry, plum and peach trees. Flat also has own private terrace with table and chairs under shaded pergola.
Coast/Beach
Beach on the fresh water lake, where pedalos and sailing boats can be hired, is just a 10 minute drive away. There is also a beach bar with restaurant and bathing is safe
Coastal beaches are about an hours drive.
Golf
Challenging 18 hole golf course behind Antequera high on the hillside less than half an hours drive away. Many courses to choose from on the coast approximately 1 hour away.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada ski resort is only an hour's drive away. Full facilities, ie ski hire, ski and snowboarding lessons, good ski runs, and many other snow activities available. A busy flourishing village with shops, bars, restaurants, hotels, hire centres.
Travel
Granada Airport is just 40 minutes away and has car hire facilities. Malaga Airport is 50 minutes to 1 hour away also with car hire facilities. A car is essential.
If driving from North Spanish ports, this takes approximately 9 hours.
Distances
Approx distances are 5kms to Iznajar which is the nearest small town, 15kms to Rute, 35kms to Antequera.

Good selection of local restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. Minimarkets, banks, chemists and all amenities in Iznajar. Supermarkets at Rute and Antequera. Iznajar, perched on a hill, has an ancient 9th century castle and 16th century restored church. All is within easy reach of the wonderful cities of Granada, Cordoba and Seville. Suitable for walking, riding, birdwatching, fishing and sailing.
