The accommodation, within a private villa, is situated in the hamlet of La Drova, close to the village of Barx. Barx is located in the La Safor valley at an altitude of aprox 380 metres and is surrounded by lush green mountain slopes. Ideally situated for visiting the tourist centre of Gandia and the award winning Blue Flag beaches. The region is renowned for its natural beauty and is rich in history. Inland are the historic towns of Xativa, Guadalest, Alcoi, Ontinyente and many others. The cities of Valencia and Alicante are within an hours drive of the property. For the more adventurous there is Benidorm with its many tourist attractions, including the Terra Mitica Theme Park. There is a water park within 30 mins of La Drova; a Safari Park and go-karting, etc. Within the village there are 2 supermarkets, 2 bakeries, 3 butchers, a pharmacy and a tobacconist. There are also various restaurants and coffee shops. Barx has a weekly market selling local produce, fish, etc.

Flights are cheaper mid-week so changeovers for this property are on a Wednesday - during peak season.

Accessibility
The apartment is on one level so suitable for wheelchair users. There are 4 steps up to the swimming pool area.
Outside
Landscaped gardens with fantastic mountain views. Gas barbecue. Sun loungers with parasols, patio tables and chairs. Various seating areas around the grounds. 10m x 5m swimming pool (occasionally shared with the owners), with Roman steps. Large tiled patio area.
Coast/Beach
Gandia beach is 20 mins by car. This is a Blue Flag beach with miles of golden sand and a wide promenade. Lots of bars and restaurants available.
Golf
There is a par 3 golf course in Gandia. Further afield there are many other golf courses.
Travel
Valencia airport approx 1 hour
Alicante airport, approx 1hr 15mins
Car hire is strongly recommended.

Nearest village, 3km by car, 20 mins by foot.
Gandia town, 15 mins by car.
Valencia, 45 mins by train from nearest railway stations.

A complimentary welcome pack is included in the rental charge. This will contain coffee, tea, cereals, bread, preserves, butter, eggs, etc. Enough to start you off on your first morning.
Booking notes
€100 deposit is required on booking. With the balance due 6 weeks before arrival. The rates are quoted in euros. However, if you wish to pay in sterling please use the exchange rate of the day.
