Villa Amanda is a lovely detached villa that faces south with fantastic views of the Mediterranean and the pine covered valley of Aigua Gelida. The swimming pool is positioned so to attract the sun from 3 hours after sun rise to 30 mins before sunset (press the MORE PHOTOS Button). The villa is within walking distance to Aigua Gelida beach and 5 minutes drive to both Tamariu and Aigua Blava beaches. Villa Amanda is a great base for a holiday. With its own pool, lovely terrace, garden, very quiet location it is ideal. Yet it is within easy access of Palafrugell and the beautiful town of Begur.

Changeover day
Rentals usually commence on Saturdays at 5pm and end at 10am on the same day. We understand clients may require different changeover times please contact us and we will try to accommodate your request.

| Living Rooms: | The middle floor is open plan which accommodates kitchen, dining area and lounge. From the lounge patio doors you step through to the large balcony with wonderful views of the sea. There is satellite TV, DVD and a music centre. |

Notes on accommodation
Accommodation, the villa is arranged on 3 floors. Top floor 2 double bedrooms 1 bathroom. The middle floor is open plan which accommodates kitchen, dinning area and lounge. From the lounge patio doors you step through to the large balcony with wonderful views of the sea. On the ground floor there is 1 private bedroom, 1 open plan bedroom with a bathroom, access to patio and pool.

Outside
Lovely terraced garden and huge patio area, the villa is positioned on the south side of a hill - so sun nearly all day long but warned there are lots of steps. The pool is approx (8x4m and 2.5m to 1m in depth).
Coast/Beach
I once read... If the Costa Brava is the most beautiful of all the Spanish coastlines then Tamariu and the surrounding area must be the crown. With steep cliffs and pine covered hills tumbling down to the Mediterranean and simple village houses and open air cafes surrounding a lovely beach. Tamariu has a special kind of magic that draws the visitor back year after year. There so many wonderful beaches are just waiting to be explored, Tamariu, Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Aigua Blava, Aigua Gelida, Llaf.
Golf
There is an excellent choice of very good courses all within easy reach. The Emporda club at Torroella which is a championship course just a 15 mins drive. Play de Pals and Sierres de Pals a 10 min drive, Golf Club Peralada a 10 min drive. Club Golf de Girona an hours drive. For those of you that enjoy your golf I would encourage you to come in the Spring and Autumn months.
Skiing
It is possible to spend the day skiing with the nearest slopes approx 90 mins away.
Travel
Driving from departing Cherbourg it takes about 14 hours, we normally spend a night in France. Flying: good deals with Ryanair. The closest airports to Villa Amanda are Gerona (45 mins) Perpignan (1½ hours) and Barcelona (2 hours). Car hire firms at Gerona and Barcelona airports, reasonable costs. Carrentals.co.uk has a good website where you can research prices and make a booking on line. A car is essential.
Distances
Gerona 30 mins. A lively, sophisticated city with tapas bars, museums, Cathedral. Barcelona 120 mins but a good train journey from Flaca station which is approx 20 mins. Figueras - Dali museum 60 mins. Palafrugell 15 mins. Sunday market, fish market, cake shops, good quality clothes, linens, shoes and restaurants. Medieval towns of Pals, Peratallada, Ullastret and the ruined fort at Torroella de Montgri.
Further details
Excellent restaurants can be found in Tamariu, Aigua Blava, Palafrugell, Begur, Llafranc and Calella. One will find numerous cafes and bars on or near the water fronts and village centres. Diving schools are in the area as well as boat hire. If you’re into walking the whole area is an absolute joy. On Sundays there is a very colourful market in Palafrugell.
Booking notes
If you wish to stay at Villa Amanda then please contact us to check availability. We will require a 25% deposit on booking and full balance 6 weeks prior to arrival date. We will also request a cleaning/breakage deposit fully refundable subject to the villa being left reasonably clean and no major breakages. All directions/instructions issued prior to holiday.
