Casita Abubilla is a spacious country cottage, built and furnished to an exceptional standard with all home comforts. Casita Abubilla is also approved and licenced to the standards of the rural tourism board of Andalucia. A beautiful location 45 mins west of the culture laden city of Granada along a good track through olive growing country. An ideal location for those seeking space and tranquility, but with the opportunity to explore the historic and picturesque villages and cities nearby. It has non stop panoramic views from the sunny private pool terrace and the south facing terrace of the cottage. The olive groves and rolling hills stretch for miles. It is a great spot for bird watching (Bee eaters, Hoopoe and Eagles have all been spotted in the location) and other outdoor pursuits such as walking, riding and mountain biking.

Changeover day
Flexible changeover days to work with guest's preference. Bookings of 3 or 4 days welcome in April and May.
Late arrivals are not a problem.

Accessibility
The property is built on one level from the path outside, to the terrace and the interior of the cottage. The bathroom has a large walk in shower. This would be suitable for those guests with difficulty managing steps.
Outside
The Pool is private with outside shower and is 10 x 5 metres surrounded by a large sunny terrace with loungers and table and chairs.It has a wooden pergola for shade from the hot sun over a corner of the terrace. Built behind a stone wall for privacy but with wonderful views over the valley and surrounding olive groves.
Coast/Beach
The beach at lake Iznajar (man made) is about 30 minutes drive. The beaches of Malaga and the coast are just over an hour away.
Golf
Antequera [travel time about 1 hour] has a beautiful course overlooking the town itself.More information is available at the casita.
Skiing
The casita is situated within driving distance of the ski resorts around Granada.
Special interest holidays
Mountain bikes can be hired by the day at the casita, please ask when booking. There are plenty of off road lanes to explore and enjoy.
Travel
Malaga airport is 1 hour 30 minutes. Granada airport 45 minutes. Car hire is essential and can be hired through Granada or Malaga airport. We can help with advice on booking low cost airlines.
Distances
Granada City and the fantastic Alhambra palace 50 minutes by car. Malaga, the coast and the Picasso museum an hour away. Cordoba and the Mezquita less than 2 hours. Much closer to the cottage are numerous places of interest, too many to mention. Please contact by email with your particular interest and we will do our best to help you.
Further details
Local shops for groceries are at nearby La Vina, Algarinejo, Zagra or Ventorros [less than 15 mins away]. Alternatively visit the weekly markets for locally grown produce. Fresh bread available daily, delivered to your door for breakfast time. We have a small store of useful provisions for our guest's. A welcome pack is provided on arrival together with an information folder on places to visit, restaurants, historic sites and maps etc. The area is excellent for walking, cycling and bird watching, we have printed guides of the local area. The casita is near to a well signed rural footpath which takes in many areas of natural beauty, flora and fauna. The area is rich in archaeological history with evidence of ancient cave dwellings and dolmans. The summer months are wonderful for local fiestas, giving visitors a real insight into the true rural Spain.
