Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. The villa can be accessed after 4pm on the day of arrival. It must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure to allow for a thorough changeover clean.

Notes on accommodation
The house has been entirely refurbished with handmade tiles, new kitchen & bathrooms. There is air-conditioning to two of the bedrooms, central heating and two working fireplaces in the reception rooms. NB. Bedroom 6 is an attic room with twin beds. The ceiling height is restricted and more suitable for children.

Outside
There are plenty of sunny terraces to dine on and the shaded patio area is a perfect retreat from the hot sun. Guests also have free use of the community tennis court nearby.
Coast/Beach
The spectacular blue flag beaches are located just 9 kilometres from the villa. Gandia offers 8 kilometres of majestic wide sandy beaches in a cosmopolitan setting. Nearby Oliva has 10 kilometres of beautiful sandy beaches which are unspoilt and have a protected chian of sand dunes.
Golf
For golfing enthusiasts there are many excellent golf courses in the area. In Valencia located on a narrow stretch of dunes and dense pinewoods separating the Albufera Lagoon from the Mediterranean Sea is the El Saler Golf Course, ranked among the Top 10 in Europe and Top 100 in the world. The adjacent Albufera Lagoon is a vast expense of brackish waters and rice paddies, which is also a natural reserve full of birds and wild life. Other courses in and around Valencia of note include, Club de Golf Manises, Club de Golf El bosque & Club de Golf Escorpion. The prestigious Oliva Nova Golf Course is within a 20 minute drive from the villa. This course was designed by Seve Ballesteros, is reasonably priced and boasts an excellent clubhouse with restaurant. Nearby La Sella (Denia) & Javea golf courses offer excellent driving ranges and facilities.
Travel
Easily accessible from both Valencia & Alicante airports. Valencia airport is approximately 70 kilometres from Gandia & Alicante airport approximately 110 kilometres. Travelling from either airport is very straightforward via the motorway - A7. Car hire essential.
Distances
Monterrey is well situated just outside of the cosmopolitan town of Gandia, a traditional Spanish market town which offers an array of activities. Local amenities include spectacular white sandy beaches, a variety of golf courses each offering different challenges, abundant tourist attractions, ferry services to Ibiza and the Balearics, seaside and rural pursuits. The lively city of Valencia is less than an hours drive away. Nautical enthusiasts can enjoy watching the 32nd Americas Cup.
Further details
Most local beaches offer water sports including water skiing, surfing, wind-surfing, kite-surfing and diving. Horse riding stables can be located next to Oliva Nova Golf Course and there is a go-kart track nearby. Within 30 - 45 mins drive you can visit Vergel Safari Park, Mundomar Sea World, Terra Mittica Theme Park or Aqualandia Water Park. Alternatively you could visit Ibiza on a trip from Denia port, a 25 minute drive away. There are other boat trips to be enjoyed, which travel up and down the coast and to nearby islands.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit is payable to secure the booking. The balance payment together with a damage deposit of £200 (to cover losses, breakages etc.) is required eight weeks prior to the reservation date. The damage deposit will be returned within 7 days of departure following a property check.
