This beautiful rustic home (located in the sleepy village of Teresa de Cofrentes in the Ayora valley, which is referred to as 'little Switzerland') has been lovingly restored retaining all the original features such as wooden beams and tiled floors, whilst adding a few modern luxuries. This green and unspoilt valley (which is perfect for all types of outdoor activities) is situated inland about an hours drive from Alicante. The total population of this peaceful valley which extends 20 km from Ayora to the village of Cofrentes is approximately 10,000 which is made up of many small close-knit communities.

There are no preferred days / times for arrival or departure although we do request that guests vacate their rooms by mid-day.

Accommodation
Casa Teresa
Casa Teresa is a three storey town house which was originally built in the 1900's and has been recently refurbished to a high standard.
Two large double bedrooms with en-suite and two twin bedded rooms with shared family sized luxury bathroom.
There is are two guest lounge areas, one with satellite TV and DVD which is available to all guests.
A games room with pool table and darts board plus a separate well stocked bar area are available to all guests.

Notes on accommodation
All the rooms are equipped with heaters, fans, hairdryers and also good storage and drawer space. There is a laundry and housekeeping service offered to guests on a daily basis. Children are always welcome and are well catered for. The accommodation is strictly non smoking although guests are welcome to smoke in the outside patio area.

Outside
There is a swimming pool and play area less than 5 minutes walk into the village. To the rear of the property there is a furnished patio area offering stunning views of the countryside, making this the perfect place to spend a lazy evening.

Coast/Beach
Casa Teresa is a short journey from the Costa Blanca coast home to many unspoilt beaches and beautiful coast lines.

Golf
There is a wide selection of golf courses in the Costa Blanca region.

Special interest holidays
The activities available in the local area include mountain biking, hiking in the natural countryside, bird watching, kayaking, fishing and boat trips on the local rivers, there is also a modern health facility near by.

Your host Joan is a qualified holistic therapist offering a variety of treatments for guests. Examples include aromatherapy massage and reflexology. An ideal way to relax and unwind.

Travel
The nearest airports to Casa Teresa are Alicante and Valencia both of which are within an hour and a half drive. All guests are advised the use of a car.

Distances
Casa Teresa is surrounded by a wealth of cultural and natural places of interest such as castles, churches, ruins, quaint little villages, bustling towns and not forgetting the hundreds of square miles of untouched countryside. All within a short drive or walk.

Further details
Ayora is famous for its fiestas which include bull running through the streets from the 9th to the 16th of August, “Dia de la cruz” on the 3rd of May, on the 30th of November “San Andres” is celebrated with bonfires in the streets. While the second Monday of January celebrates “Santo angel” who freed the people from the plague in 1392. “The fair of the honey” from the 8th to the 12th of October celebrates the abundance of delicious honey produced in the area. There are many traditional Spanish bars, restaurants and cafes to be found within the local area.
