Casa El Sueño (Dream House) is an excellent 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa with private pool (8m x 4m) situated in the quiet rural area of Roche Viejo on the edge of a protected pine forest some 2.5 km from the nearest sandy beach. It's located just 6km from the picturesque town of Conil de la Frontera, one of the beautiful white towns of Andalusia’s stunning Costa de la Luz - the area boasting the most sunshine in Spain at over 3,000 hours per year!

Saturday changeover in peak periods. Other times we offer a per night rate to allow you to book the cheapest flights.

Usual arrival time is 4pm, departure time 10.30am but we'll be as flexible as possible to accommodate your requirements.

Kitchen: 4-ring gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee maker, cool box plus plenty of work surfaces & storage space.
Living Rooms: Lounge/dining room with 29” TV (with UK Freeview channels, DVD & Video), CD player, 2 two-seater sofas + 2 easy chairs, 6 seater dining table (with table-attaching baby seat), open fireplace and collection of DVDs, videos, CDs, books & games.
Other: Front & rear dining terraces. Front terrace table seats 6 while rear terrace table caters for 4.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All bedding and house towels are provided. Beach/pool towels not provided. The villa will be thoroughly cleaned before your arrival but no maid service is available during your stay.

 

Notes on accommodation
The villa is suitable for children of all ages (please ensure their safety in and around the pool and on the roof terrace).
Sun-loungers, gas barbecue, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, beach toys, baby cot and table-attaching chair are all provided.
Hot water is provided via a roof-mounted solar panel complemented by the option of more traditional gas heating in winter.
There is an open fireplace and electric radiators for your comfort during the winter months.
All cleaning materials, inc. washing liquid, are provided.

Outside
The well-maintained garden is largely laid to lawn and enhanced with shrub borders and scattered low trees. Your privacy is maintained by a 2m high border of conifers. There is ample parking for two cars and, at the front of the house, 4 sun loungers and a fine 8m x 4m swimming pool with Roman steps. NB: the pool is not fenced-in so young children should be supervised at all times. Note also that the pool is closed in winter from November to March (inc.).
There is a large front terrace with a wooden dining table & 6 chairs, and a small rear terrace leading from the kitchen with wooden dining table & 4 chairs. The stairs to the flat roof lead you to a full-size roof terrace with terrific views over the local countryside.

Coast/Beach
The closest beach (2.5km away) is Cala del Aceite, a quiet 1km-wide sandy cove. During the summer months a large beach restaurant/bar is set up on this and other beaches nearby. The blue-flag beaches of Conil (Playa Fontanilla & Playa de los Bateles) are renowned throughout Spain for their long, wide stretches of sand and clear seas, and there are countless other magnificent beaches in the area.

Golf
There is a good 18 hole course (San Andreas Golf) within 15 minutes drive and the Ballasteros-designed courses at Novo Sancti Petri, Chiclana, are about 5 minutes further on. Many other courses in the area (including the championship Montenmedio course outside Vejer de la Frontera) are available within an hour’s drive.

Travel
The nearest airport is Jerez (XRY) which is approximately 40 minutes drive. The airports of Seville (SVQ) and Gibraltar (GIB) are about 90 minutes drive, while Malaga (AGP) is approximately 150 minutes drive. Car hire is essential (the cheapest we’ve found so far is at carjet.com).

Distances
The local town of Conil de la Frontera is an 8 minute drive. The holiday resort town of Chiclana is about 25 minutes away. The major cities of Cadiz (40 mins), Jerez (45 mins) and Seville (90 mins) make for great day trips, as do the pretty white hill towns of Vejer (20 mins), Medina Sidonia (30 mins), Alcala de los Gazules (40 min) & Arcos (90 min). The surfing mecca of Tarifa is within an hour’s drive and from there you can also make a day trip to Africa, visiting Tangier in Morocco.

Further details
The nearest supermarket is no more than 5 minutes drive away and there is a daily fresh seafood/meat/fruit/vegetables market in Conil as well as hypermarkets at Chiclana (20 mins) and San Fernando (25 mins). The closest restaurant is a 15 minutes walk and there is a pizzeria (also serving local dishes) a further 5 mins walk. You will find many activities nearby including a fine aqua park, a go-karting circuit and many riding stables. A little further afield you can go dolphin & whale watching or try your hand at windsurfing, kite-surfing or water skiing at Tarifa.

Booking notes
25% non-refundable deposit payable on booking. Balance payment due 8 weeks prior to arrival. We don’t ask for a damages deposit, but would be grateful if you would replace anything that does get broken during your stay.

Please note that we cannot guarantee to accommodate arrivals after 11pm; if you are likely to arrive very late please contact the owners to discuss possible arrangements.

The villa was great. All five of us had a great time. It was all really chilled out and relaxed and we all have recharged seriously flagging batteries after a long hard year so far.

I have fallen in love with Andalucia. Completely. I start Spanish lessons next week and hope to be seeing a lot more of the region. Cadiz is lovely. Sevilla was fantastic. The food was amazing wherever we ate and I loved being able to splash around in the pool any time of the day.

Thanks for letting us use the villa. Your information folder in the lounge was really excellent and I managed to horseride, play golf, scuba dive, visit a sherry bodega, snorkel at the beach, wander round old Cadiz and Sevilla and take some fantastic pictures of the surrounding countryside and wildilfe. Most of those I was with chilled by the pool and sunbathed all week, but each to his own I suppose!!

We enjoyed our stay immensely and would love to come back again. And again. And again......
