Altea has a 'new town' at the sea front with a long promenade with shops cafes and restaurants and an old characterful car-free town on a small hill behind. With galleries, craft shops, coffee shops and good restaurants. Hill walking, sailing, tennis courts. Train and buses within walking distance. Theme park, a waterpark and dolphin park all within 15 minute drive. An attractive mountain area is immediately behind Altea with interesting villages and restaurants.
