El Lado Bueno is a new holiday villa with its own garden and pool. It is situated in the beautiful Lecrin Valley (happy valley), just south of Granada, in Andalucia. The house enjoys views of Lake Beznar and is conveniently situated for the coast, Granada city, Sierra Nevada ski resort and for exploring the surrounding countryside, including the famous Las Alpujarras area.

The property is cleaned before and after every visit. The towels and sheets are also changed before and after every visit, however, spares are available if needed during longer stays. |
Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning/heaters in both lounges and all bedrooms. Wood burning stove in lounge. Parking for 2 cars within the grounds and a further space in the road outside.
Please note that El Lado Bueno is a non smoking house: guests are politely requested to smoke outside and dispose of cigarette ends safely and tidily.
Outside
Plenty of sunbeds, and terrace furniture on all 3 terraces. An outside dining area with charcoal BBQ under a shady pergola. A secluded courtyard with 5m pool and a private rear garden for shade and relaxation.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is about 25 mins drive away at Salobrena. Slightly further is La Herradura (for water sports) or Almunecar and to the east Calahonda (very Spanish, 45 mins drive, but well worth it).
Golf
Golf courses at either Granada or Motril (both under 30 mins drive).
Skiing
The skiing resort Sol y Nieve in the Sierra Nevada is around 35 mins drive. The skiing season is usually December to Easter and has other activities too, including walks and cable car rides throughout the year. Or you can climb Mulhacen, Spain's highest peak (c.3500m).
Travel
Granada airport is 35 mins, Malaga under 2 hours, Almeria just over 2 hours. It is recommended that you hire a car during your stay for getting around; however there are good bus services right from the village to Motril and Granada (where you can travel on to Malaga or Almeria).

Granada City and La Alhambra 30 mins. Lanjaron - spa town 10 mins. Orgiva 25 mins. Las Alpujarras white villages 45 mins. Sierra Nevada Natural Park 15 mins. Sol y Nieve Ski Resort 35 mins.
Further details
Beznar is a quiet, un-spoilt village set among citrus and olive groves. It has a small corner shop type supermarket and vans visit several times each day with fresh bread. A short walk will take you through citrus groves down to Lake Beznar. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the surrounding villages and towns, and nearby Lecrin (5 mins drive) has banks, a pharmacy etc.
The area in and around the Lecrin valley is excellent for walking, horse riding and cycling, all of which are available nearby, as is skiing (see above). Water sports are available on the coast and swimming is good with a good variety of beaches to suit all. For sightseers there is much to explore in Granada City, not just the Alhambra.
Booking notes
25% non-refundable deposit at booking, minimum £100. Full payment required 6 weeks before rental. £175 will be needed as a damage deposit with final payment. Full travel instructions and house notes will be provided upon receipt of full payment.
