Loma La Parra is situated at the heart of Andalucia's most beautiful areas of mountains and lakes and set in several thousand square metres of private land, between two protected areas of extraordinary natural beauty, El Chorro and El Torcal. Local activities include, horse riding, mountain biking, climbing, walking, water sports on the lakes, arial sports, sightseeing and shopping and golfing in nearby Antequera. Within easy reach are Malaga, Granada (the Alhambra and snow skiing), Cordoba and Seville, the coast and Gibraltar. Alternatively, just relax and enjoy your peaceful surroundings; the views, the house, pool, barbecue and gardens.

Changeover day
Our usual changeover days are at the weekend but please ask about other days. We aim to have the property ready for you by 3 pm but we ask you to please vacate around 10 am. We will do our best to be flexible but arriving guests will have preference.

All are fully tiled.
Kitchen: Beautifully tiled with exposed wooden beams and breakfast table, views to the pool and stable door to the terrace. The equipment includes: fridge/freezer, electric oven, four plate ceramic hob, dishwasher, deep fat fryer, coffee maker, mixer, juicer.
Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, ironing facilities, extra drinks fridge, larder space.
Living Rooms: Sitting room with two sofas and two reclining armchairs. The TV receives English freeview channels plus dozens of radio prorammes and incorporates a DVD player.
The dining room has a large pine table to seat 10 diners.
There are exposed wooden beams.
Other: Summer kitchen and barbecue with stone table in the garden.
Covered terrace leading from the lounge and kithen with sofa and armchairs and pine table to seat 10. Views to the pool and beyond.

All bed linen towels and pool towels are provided and changed every week. Cleaning midweek and on departure.

Notes on accommodation
Loma la Parra has been carefully insulated during construction, including double glazing, and with an almost guaranteed hilltop breeze the house is comfortable in the summer and very cosy in winter.
We have a wireless broadband connection, so bring your lap top.

Outside
Private swimming pool 11m x 5m. Exceptionally spacious, tiled surround for sunbathing. Pergola shade and spectacular views to the mountains.
Summer kitchen and barbecue with stone table outside seating 10 guests.
Covered terrace with wooden pillars and beams, and table to seat 10, plus sofa and armchairs.

Coast/Beach
The Costa del Sol's beaches are 30 miles away which takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. The better areas are Fuengirola and the smaller beaches around Marbella.
A 2 to 3 hour drive will take you to the Atlantic windsurfing beaches around Tarifa.

Golf
Antequera Golf is 20 kms or half an hour away.
Alhaurin Golf is 30 kms or 40 minutes away.
Both are in the mountains with spectacular scenery.
There are may more courses on the coast one or two hours away.

Skiing
The Province of Granada is home to Andalucia's highest mountain range, the Sierra Nevada, and its local ski resort, Sol y Nieve.
There is an excellent, modern, lift network, good access, skiing to 3000 metres, and vertical descents of 1000 metres. Open from Christmas to the end of April, the resort is 2.5 hours from the house.

Travel
The nearest airport is Malaga. This is 50 kms (30 miles) and takes about an hour. A car is essential.

Distances
El Valle de Abdalajis is a 5 minute drive. Antequera is 20 kms north and Įlora is 20 kms south. Seville, Cordoba and Granada are all less than 3 hours drive.

Further details
In the village there are many bars and a few restaurants(link to our website for more details). There are supermarkets, a chemist, a doctor, butchers, bakers, take away pizza and roast chicken and a market every thursday. There are banks with cash machines. Antequera is a superb shopping center only 20 minutes away.
