Casa Anhelar is a beautiful villa located in the countryside of Andalucia - ‘Real Spain’. Situated near the villages of Iznajar and La Celada (just north of Malaga) and occupying a fantastic position, in the hills amongst a sea of olive groves, with breathtaking views overlooking the National Subbeticca Park. It offers the environment to help you relax and take things easy as well as being an excellent base to explore the cultural centres of Andalucia; perfect for sight seeing trips to Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Malaga. For those who are a bit more energetic the area offers a varied selection of outdoor pursuits – golf, walking, mountain biking and horse riding. Whilst on the nearby lake we have canoeing, wind surfing / kiting, fishing, boating and pedaloes. There is a beach bar / restaurant on the lake. At the Sierra Nevada Mountains activities include skiing, snow boarding, mountaineering, biking and walking.

Saturday to Saturday but will be flexible wherever possible.

Notes on accommodation
The accommodation is spacious, bright and modern. Yet the villa oozes an Andalucian feel and charm. Interior décor is to a high standard. Tastefully and comfortably furnished, and equipped to a high specification.
All the doors and windows have shutters and all floors are fully tiled, which helps keep the villa cool in the summer months. Casa Anhelar has a no smoking policy indoors.
Outside
Casa Anhelar is a great place to chill out and relax. The pool area complete with sunbeds, alfresco dining area and a huge Gazebo for shade is all you need for the perfect tranquil lazy sunny day. As your day draws to an end grab yourself a glass of wine get comfortable on the upper terrace and watch the sun go down behind the mountains... fantastic. The views from all aspects of the villa are to die for and all you can do is enjoy... enjoy... enjoy.
Coast/Beach
Lake Iznajar, which is only a 5 minute drive away has a natural beach area where you can picnic or BBQ.This area is great for walking,swimming, bird watching and fishing. You can take you car close to the waters edge for ease of access to the lake alternatively you can park in the car park provided.
There is a beach bar which serves fantastic food and is very reasonably priced very popular at the weekends worth a visit.
The famous beaches of Costa del Sol are just a 50 minutes drive away.
Golf
A recently completed 18-hole course is located at Antequera just 30 minutes drive. Set amidst the hills with some great views of the area. It is challenging with narrow tree lined fairways and sufficient water hazards.
There is also a club at Granada, 50 minutes drive, with the spectacular backdrop of the Sierra Nevada. Non-members are welcome on weekdays. These two courses are considerably less expensive to play than the resort courses.
The famous golf courses of the Costa del Sol are approx 50 minutes drive. Whilst the world renowned courses of Costa del Golf – Valderrama, Sotogrande and San Roque are approx 1 1/2 hours drive away.
Skiing
The fast developing resort of Sol y Nieve is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The resort hosted one of the 1996 world ski championships events. Although small in comparison with other European resorts (and much friendlier than some of the other more famous European resorts) it has sufficient runs to satisfy all standards of skier and boarder.
Travel
Malaga airport 50 minutes. Granada airport 40 minutes.
The drive from either airport is easy and on excellent roads. A car is essential to maximise the opportunities offered by the location.
Distances
Within easy reach of local villages - La Celada 2 mins and Iznajar 5 mins, the beautiful Lake of Andalucia 5 mins, Rute 10 mins, Lucena 25 mins, Antequera and the Lobopark (wolf park) 30 mins, El Torcal parque natural 40 mins, Malaga 40 mins, Granada 45 mins, Sevilla 1 hr 40 mins, Cordoba 1 hr 15mins, the Costa del Sol beaches 45 mins and the Sierra Nevada mountains – summer activities and winter sports 1 hr 20 mins.
Further details
Shopping and eating out are again no problem, with travelling times ranging from a couple of minutes to 30 minutes. Unless you fancy splashing out and visiting one of the exclusive restaurants at Puerto Banus or Marbella. La Celada, 2 mins drive, is a quaint little village and has a convenience store, which will supply most of your basic needs, and a tapas bar.
Iznajar is a typical Andalucian town, with its winding narrow streets, Moorish castle and church. There are numerous bars and restaurants and the locals are very friendly. Many more shops are available here including small supermarkets, pharmacists and banks. It also has a small hospital. Locally are the Donkey Sanctuary at Feunte de Piedra and the riding stables at Salinas. Relaxation and Beauty treatments and painting lessons can be booked locally. Booking notes
A 25% non-refundable deposit will be required upon booking confirmation. The remaining balance will be due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. A returnable security deposit of £200 will be requested by our managing agents in Spain on your arrival and will be returned to you on your departure. If booking with less than 8 weeks to arrival dates then payment is in full at time of booking confirmation.
