This privately owned apartment in a secure development on the first floor and has a balcony overlooking the communal pool and reception area. Well laid out for privacy and comfort, with the benefit of controllable air-conditioning, it contains a light and airy twin bedroom with large capacity wardrobes, a fully tiled bathroom with bath, shower and double sink, utility room with washing machine and sink, plus a beautiful fully-equipped galley kitchen with oven, hob, extractor, large fridge/freezer and microwave. The large L-shaped lounge is tastefully furnished with a leather metal-action sofa bed, matching leather armchair, plus a pine dining table and four chairs. For entertainment, this room has satellite television, DVD player and a CD/Radio, with a number of DVDs and CDs provided for your use. The balcony, which has spectacular mountain views, is furnished with bistro furniture for alfresco dining, as well as comfortable lounger chairs, which can be taken down to the pool.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible to suit, on a first come, first served basis. The apartment is available from 2pm on the arrival date, and must be vacated at 10am on the date of departure.

Utility Room: Utility room contains washing machine, handwashing sink, iron and ironing board. Fully equipped with clothes airers, cleaning equipment etc.
Living Rooms: Lounge contains a smart leather metal action sofa bed and matching armchair, as well as a dining table and four chairs. A TV and CD/radio music system is provided, along with some satellite channels, a DVD player, and a number of DVDs and CDs.

Notes on accommodation
Please note that this is a strictly non-smoking apartment, although smoking is permitted on the balcony or outside in the complex.

Outside
The Font Rotja complex is built around a central communal swimming pool with separate children's splash pool. The apartment contains 2 sun loungers which can be taken down to the pool area.

Coast/Beach
Albir's blue flag semi-shingle beach is approximately 15 minutes walk away, and runs the length of the resort, alongside a smart promenade, to a Marina in the nearby resort of Altea.

Travel
Alicante is the closest airport - approximately 45km down the coast. There is a taxi rank at the airport, as well as car hire facilities. There is also a relatively cheap shuttle bus from the airport to Benidorm - from here Albir is a short taxi ride away - and also various shuttle companies that run coaches to the complex, dropping off at various complexes on the way. www.shuttledirect.com

Distances
The picturesque market town of Altea is approx 3km and a lovely walk away, while the party resort of Benidorm is approx 5km south. A regular bus runs to both resorts and a bus stop and taxi rank are situated across the road from the Font Rotja complex. Approx 10km away you will also find the Terra Mitica and Terra Natura theme parks.

Further details
Albir is a cosmopolitan resort with a lovely laid-back atmosphere. It boasts many restaurants, offering cuisine from Spanish and Argentinian to Dutch and English. It also has a lovely promenade which comes alive at night as people mingle along the coastline and in the beachfront cafe bars. There are a number of large supermarkets close to the apartment, and also many shops and a few banks.

Booking notes
A £100 deposit secures a booking Sept to Jun. A 50% or £100 deposit (whichever is greater) secures a July/Aug booking. A 50% deposit is required for long-lets of 4 weeks plus. Deposits are non-refundable and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A £100 refundable security bond forms part of the rental contract, covering loss/damage to the apartment and its contents, plus the return of the keys. Payment can be made by cheque, debit/credit card, or bank transfer, in GBP or euros.
