La Polvorerķa is an old farmhouse surrounded by farm lands, that sits on the side of the Tenes River, just across from the village Bigues i Riells. This allows you to enjoy the quiet of the area and the convenience of being close to the major amenities. The village has many small shops, most of them open on Sunday, among which we may point out a traditional co-operative, with an oil mill and a wine press, with a large cellar were one may taste and purchase many of the specialties of the country. The house is fully equipped with modern household appliances for your comfort and enable you enjoy your stay. One of the rooms is on the ground making it suitable for the elderly or disabled, whilst the others are on the first floor, accessed via a large staircase. The large garden, (about 500m2), with a swing, barbecue and garage will help you and your children enjoy a memorable holiday in a nice and welcoming place.

Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Saturday (for a full week), but modifications may be done by customer interests if possible regarding previous bookings. Arrival after 5pm. Departure before 12 noon.

| Kitchen: | Includes the main kitchen equipment, oven, gas cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, etc. The dining room is attached to the kitchen, and both form a large and clear space. |
| Utility Room: | The washing machine is in a separate room. Ironing facilities and baby bed available. |
| Living Rooms: | The living room has 2 large sofas and seats for 10 people. A TV set with local TV chains is available. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The house is fully cleaned once a week. Linen and towels are supplied, and changed for cleaned ones twice a week (if desired). |
Notes on accommodation
The ground floor with its bedroom is suitable for wheelchair accessibility.
Outside
A 500 m2 garden is suitable for outdoor activities. It includes a barbeque, garage for 2 cars, a swing, all of which is grassed. A large 10 people table and seats is at customers use. A shared swimming pool (village) is at customer's disposal during summer time at no cost.
Coast/Beach
The seaside is at 40km, from Barcelona to Mataro. Other beaches are further away, 30 minutes by car.
Golf
Many golf courses are nearby. 4 of them are within 15km, 9 holes. At 20km there is another one of 18 holes, and many more if you don't mind travelling about 40km.
Special interest holidays
The site is especially suitable for F1 and Motorcycling GP, thus de Circuit as at 20km. Barcelona is at 40km.
Travel
Barcelona's Airport is at 60km, Girona's is at 80km, and Reus is at 120km. A regular bus connects Bigues i Riells (3 mins walk to bus stop) with Barcelona several times a day. Train station is at 10km.
Distances
Barcelona is at 40km. Montseny (mountains) is at 20km. The village is surrounded by cliffs, hills and fields, which offer nice walking areas.
