It's just perfect for al-fresco evenings that are part of the relaxed life style here at El Presidente. There are sun-loungers on the terrace & around the pools to relax and sunbathe in private. You will enjoy exploring El Presidente by leisurely walking the safe private footpaths that meander through the tranquil mature sub-tropical gardens, waterways and fountains, discovering the 5 secluded swimming pools, one heated, en-route. All have sun beds and the beach is just a short stroll down a leafy lane. There are 6 tennis & Padel courts on-site for our guests use. San Pedro, Puerto Banus & Marbella are just a short drive away. For golfing enthusiasts there are many excellent courses nearby, e.g. El Paraiso, Atalaya & Flamingos Golf Clubs.

Notes on accommodation
This is a beautifully decorated corner apartment, spacious and stylishly furnished with the advantage of temperature controlled air conditioning and central heating (for those milder off season weeks). The property has cream marble flooring throughout and double glazing. The apartment is suitable for children and has a large flatscreen TV with English, Spanish, French Channels, DVD Player and sound system. All rooms are very light and airy and each room has the benefit of patio doors to either the large terrace or to juliet balconies, all with wonderful views of the sub tropical gardens fountains & pool. All the bedrooms are large, with plenty of wardrobe space. Hairdryers are supplied.
Outside
El Presidente is located right next to the beach & sits behind a grove of pine trees away from the main Road. It benefits from extensive landscaped sub-tropical gardens, with fountains, waterways & ponds. The 5 large attractive pools, one heated during off-season months are discreetly positioned within the grounds for maximum privacy. All pools have sun loungers free for the use of our guests. With such a beautiful and stunning environment the complex is very quiet and peaceful. El Presidente also has 24 hour security guards. There are also 4 newly refurbished Tennis Courts and 3 Padel courts within the complex, free for the use of our guests. There are many first class Golf Course locally and even a friendly Bowl Club nearby. Within a few minutes drive the scenery transforms into splendid, dramatic mountain terrain with rivers, lakes & fantastic views. Pretty San Pedro, stylish Puerto Banus, Marbella & the luxury Laguna Beach Club are just a short drive away.
Coast/Beach
There are 2 very different types of beach just a short stroll away, one is rather rustic yet quiet, bordered by lawns. The other is larger sandy beach, with sun loungers for hire, children's playground, beach bars & restaurants. There are excellent wind surfing & surfing facilities near Tarifa, where the Med meets the Atlantic just 40 mins drive away. If you want too spoil yourself try the Laguna Beach Club or Buddah Beach Club. They have superb beach facilities and are just a short drive away.
Golf
The Costa del Sol is the busiest and most popular golf region in Europe and with more than 20 first class Golf Clubs in the local area you will be spoilt for choice. Golf Courses close to El Presidente include El Paraiso Golf, Flamingos Golf, Atalaya Golf & Country Club, Guadalmina Golf Club, Monte Mayor Golf, Marbella Club Golf Resort, Los Aqueros Golf, La Quinta Golf and Country Club, Los Naranjos Golf Club, Aloha Golf and a very nice 9 hole course at the El Campanario Golf & Country House. In fact Spain’s premier Golf Course, Valderrama, is just 30 minutes drive away.
Skiing
Many people only associate Spain with sangria, sand and sun but are surprised to find that Spain also offers a wide range of winter sports. Spain's number one location for winter sports, the Sierra Nevada, is located just two hours away from the Costa del Sol. Located above Granada, it has the best snow and the longest season in the country. One can look forward to five months of snow. Sierra Nevada has 61km of ski slopes with 45 pistes and 6 off-piste routes. There are 2 cable cars, 12 chair lifts and 5 ski lifts. The ski resort is open from 9am to 5pm although you can ski at night at weekends and bank holidays. Night skiing was introduced in 1994 with lighting along the El Rio slope (3km/545 vertical drop).
Travel
El Presidente is mid-way between Malaga and the newly developed Gibraltar airports, with both being around 40/50 minutes drive from either Airport. Although a car is not necessary as many facilities are within walking distance from El Presidente, it is recommended in order to get the most out of this beautiful part of Andalusia. Distances
San Pedro & Puerto Banus is about a 5 min car drive away & the centre of Marbella about 10 minutes. There is a Cab rank in El Presidente and a bus stop just outside.
Further details
Typical Spanish white villages such as Ronda, Casares, Mijas, Benahavis and Istan are all less than an hour's drive from El Presidente that takes you through some of the most spectacular & breathtaking mountain scenery you can find. You will get a taste of the 'real Spain' by visiting the pretty village of Istan just 30 mins away. On the way you will enjoy the breathtaking views of lake Concepcion and the dramatic mountain scenery. When you get there don't forget to taste the famous spa water which is freely available. Likewise the attractive village of Benahavis, which has some of the best restaurants on the Costa del Sol, is just 15 mins away by car. On your way there you will pass through a delightful gorge, woodland and mountain streams.
Supermarkets, Restaurants, Chemists and Banks are within walking distance, as is the 5* Crowne Plaza Spa Hotel that welcomes non-residents to use their pool side bar, restauraunts and spa facilities. If need a shot of 'retail therapy' the Shopping Mall at La Canada Retail Park or the El Cortes Ingles Department store in Puerto Banus is for you - not to mention the enchanting boutiques and designer shops in Marbella's Orange Square. If you have not been to El Presidente before then you have a lovely surprise in store. Why not try a winter break as the weather on the Costa del Sol rarely falls below 15 degrees during the beautiful sunny days here in the winter months and of course you will have access to the large heated swimming pool. If you want to exlore further afield the historic cities of Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba and Granada are all within a two hours car journey. The Alhambra Palace in Granada is a 'must see' and you will find it interesting to see that the design of the gardens and waterways in El Presidente are based on the Palace design.

Nov. 2011.This property had everything you needed and more. We stayed for 8 nights from the 28th October me, my husband, our 3 year old and my parents. The apartment had ample space to accommodate all of us so we werent on each others toes! The apartment is very clean and nicely decorated. The complex has 5 pools and because we went off-season the heated pool was just great. It was warm enough to sunbathe but the heated pool was welcomed! We liked the fact that we didnt have to hire a car for this holiday. The beach is a couple of minutes walk away too.
July 2011. Clean and comfortable apartment which was very well equipped. Fixtures and fittings good quality and soft furnishings fresh and clean. Lovely urbanisation. Well tended gardens and pools.
Feb 2011. The property was exactly as described. We were looking forward to our visit and everything was excellent. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the apartment was equipped with everything anyone could need.
