The Apartment has large terrace and dining facilities for 6 overlooking the Jacuzzi Swimming Pool that's illuminated at night. It's just perfect for those al-fresco evenings that are part of the relaxed life style here on the Costa del Sol. There are sun-loungers on the terrace to relax and sunbathe in private. You will enjoy exploring El Presidente by leisurely walking the safe private footpaths that meander through the tranquil mature sub-tropical gardens, waterways and fountains, discovering the 5 secluded swimming pools, one heated, en-route. All have sun beds and the beach is just a short stroll down a leafy lane. The resort has 6 tennis & Padel courts that are free for our guests. Puerto Banus & Marbella are just a short drive away. For golfing enthusiasts there are many excellent courses nearby, e.g. El Paraiso, Atalaya & Flamingos Golf Clubs.

Notes on accommodation
This self catering apartment is spacious and stylishly furnished with the advantage of air conditioning and central heating (for those milder off season weeks) with marble floors throughout. The apartment is suitable for children and has Cable TV with Movie Channels, DVD Player and sound system.

Outside
El Presidente is located next to the beach & sits behind a grove of pine trees away from the main Road. It benefits from extensive landscaped sub-tropical gardens, with fountains and waterways. The 5 large attractive pools, one heated during off-season months (except January), are discreetly positioned within the grounds for maximum privacy of use. All pools have sun loungers free for the use of our guests. With such a beautiful and stunning environment the complex is very quiet and peaceful. El Presidente also has 24 hour security guards. There are also 6 newly refurbished Tennis Courts and 3 Padel courts within the complex, free for the use of our guests but you will need to bring your own equipment. Nearby is a large childrens soft play area incorporated within the SuperSol Supermarket with cafeteria and free internet wi-fi access. A few minutes drive can transform the scenery into splendid, dramatic mountain terrain. The luxury Laguna Beach Club is just a short drive away.

Coast/Beach
There are 2 very different beaches just a short stroll away, one is rather rustic yet quiet, bordered by lawns. The other has a sandy beach, a children's playground, beach bars and restaurants. There are excellent surfing beaches near Tarifa, where the Med meets the Atlantic just 45 mins drive away. If you want too spoil yourself try either Laguna Beach Club ot Buddah Beach Club. They have superb beach facilities and are just a short drive away.

Golf
The Costa del Sol is the busiest and most popular golf region in Europe and with more than 20 first class Golf Clubs in the local area you will be spoilt for choice. Golf Courses close to El Presidente include El Paraiso Golf, Flamingos Golf, Atalaya Golf & Country Club, Guadalmina Golf Club, Monte Mayor Golf, Marbella Club Golf Resort, Los Aqueros Golf, La Quinta Golf and Country Club, Los Naranjos Golf Club, Aloha Golf and a very nice 9 hole course at the El Campanario Golf & Country House. In fact Spain’s premier Golf Course, Valderrama, is just 30 minutes drive away.

Skiing
Many people only associate Spain with sand and sun but are surprised to find that Spain also offers a wide range of winter sports. Spain's number one location for winter sports, the Sierra Nevada is located just two hours away from the Costa del Sol. Located above Granada, it has the best snow and the longest season in the country. One can look forward to five months of snow. Sierra Nevada has 61km of ski slopes with 45 pistes and 6 off-piste routes. There are 2 cable cars, 12 chair lifts and 5 ski lifts. The ski resort is open from 9am to 5pm although you can ski at night at weekends and bank holidays. Night skiing was introduced in 1994 with lighting along the El Rio slope (3km/545 vertical drop).

Travel
El Presidente is mid-way between Malaga and Gibraltar airports, with both being around 40/50 minutes drive from either Airport. Although a car is not necessary as many facilities are within walking distance from El Presidente, it is recommended in order to get the most out of this beautiful part of Andalusia. Distances
Puerto Banus is about a 7 min car drive away & the centre of Marbella about 15 minutes. There is a Cab rank next to El Presidente for your convenience.

Further details
Typical Spanish white villages such as Ronda, Casares, Mijas and Istan are all within an hour's drive from El Presidente through some of the most spectacular & breathtaking mountain scenery you can find. The pretty village of Benahavis, which has some of the best restaurants on the Costa del Sol, is just 15 mins away by car. On your way there you will pass through a delightful gorge, woodland and mountain streams. Supermarkets, Restaurants, Chemists and Banks are within walking distance, as is the 5* Crowne Plaza Spa Hotel that welcomes non-residents to use their pool side bar, restauraunts and spa facilities. But if need a shot of 'retail therapy' the Shopping Mall at La Canada Retail Park or the El Cortes Ingles Department store in Puerto Banus is for you - not to mention the boutiques and designer shops in Marbella. If you have not been to El Presidente before then you have a lovely surprise in store. Why not try a winter break as the weather on the Costa del Sol rarely falls below 15 degrees even during the winter months and of course you have free access to the large heated swimming pool (not available in January). If you want to exlore further afield the historic cities of Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba and Granada are all within a two half hour car journey. The Alhambra Palace in Granada is a 'must see' and you will find it interesting to see that the design of the gardens and waterways in El Presidente are based on the Palace.

09/09 'Lovely spacious apartment. Party of 6 adults, found the apartment very clean, spacious, comfortable and beautiful location. Were met on arrival and taken directly to the property which was very much appreciated as we arrived late at night and the welcome pack we had requested had been delivered. We rented a car as we travelled into nearby towns Puerto Banus and Estepona although there were nice restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely return in the future.'
09/09 'This property was everything it says it is and is in an amazing complex meticulously well kept, the owners were very helpful. Taxis are on the complex entrance and buses are really cheap to Estepona and Puerto Banus. There are 5 fantastic swimming pools. Local bars are good and the Crown Plaza Hotel next door was a pleasant place to visit. The complex is superb for family orientated holidays, kids love it. Great holiday'.
