Superb spacious 4 bedroom villa with private pool and views to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Our villa is in an exclusive and quiet private location, only 5 mins drive to the beautiful renaissance city of Granada and its Alhambra Palace, tapas bars, shops and many other places of interest. The brand new Santa Clara golf course is just opposite the villa. There is ample parking outside the villa. The green plains of the 'Granada vega' stretch out behind - miles of open fields and flat land, yet we are an easy 20 mins drive to Granada airport. The Costa Tropical beaches can be reached in 35 mins - perhaps take a detour en route & visit the mountain villages of the Alpujarras or the beautiful Lake Beznar in the Lecrin Valley. The villa is perfectly situated for a city/shopping, golfing, skiing, beach holiday - you really can do it all from here. Notes on prices
Price shown is the total for the property per week in UK Pounds, for up to 6 guests utilising up to 3 bedrooms of their choosing.
For 7/8 guests, or use of all 4 bedrooms - £100 extra per week.
A discount of 10% is given for repeat guests. A security/damage deposit of £25 per person (minimum charge £100) is payable on booking & refunded after your stay subject to no damage/breakages.
Changeover day
Flexible - we always try to accommodate all requests. We kindly ask guests to vacate by 10 am unless otherwise agreed. So we can provide a high level of cleanliness and presentation arriving guests are welcome from 4 pm onwards.

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Quality bath towels and bed linen are provided. Guests are requested to bring their own beach towels. The villa is cleaned before and after your stay. |
Notes on accommodation
Electric radiators and/or logs for the woodburner can be provided in the winter months at an extra cost. The property is very suitable for children, being totally enclosed all round by gates/hedging.

Outside
Very large private swimming pool for sole use of guests, with outdoor showers. Ideal for early morning 'lengths' or just for splashing around in ! Poolside sun loungers are also provided along with a large gas barbecue. There are tables & chairs on the patio area & in the garden for al-fresco breakfasts & candlelit dinners !
Coast/Beach
The beaches of the Costa Tropical are 45 minutes away along the main A44 road, straight down from Otura. Don't miss the pretty whitewashed town of Salobrena, surrounded by fields of sugar cane. Or take the winding scenic road down to Almunecar, perhaps stopping off on the way for lunch in one of the little villages that cling to the mountainside. The most dramatic and scenic road you'll ever drive on !!
Golf
One of Spains newest and most prestigious golf courses, the Santa Clara, is only a minutes drive from the house. Set against a backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains, you can see the course from the villa.
Los Moriscos is a links golf course set alongside the beach in between Salobrena and Motril, approx 45 minutes south in the Costa Tropical. Various golf courses in Malaga, around 90 minutes drive.
Skiing
Europes most southerly ski resort the 'Sol y Nieve' is around 30 minutes drive from the villa, in the Sierra Nevada. The snow on these mountains can be seen from the villa for many months of the year. With easy & ample parking you can have a day or half day ski pass. Great fun for all the family, even if you dont ski - you can skate or take a sledge ride, or just admire the beautiful scenery from the many bars and restaurants.
Special interest holidays
The location of the villa makes it a perfect base for those who enjoy walking - Dilar National Park is just a few mins away. Cyclists will enjoy the miles of undulating countryside all around. Golfers & skiers are also well catered for - the slopes are an easy 35 mins & the brand new Santa Clara Golf course is right opposite. The scenery in this area is very special & will appeal to artists.
Travel
Granada airport is just 15-20 minutes drive away, either through flat and easy country roads or via the main A44 road. Although we are close to the aiport we are not on the flight path so there is no aircraft noise.
Malaga is approx 1-1.5 hours drive
Almeria is approx 1.5 hours drive
Major car hire companies operate from all these airports.
Buses also run from Malaga and Granada airports to the city centre.
Distances
The beautiful city of Granada, with its famous Alhambra Palace and Generalife gardens is a 5-10 minute drive away. Otura village can be reached in a few minutes by car. Here you will find bars and restaurants, plus the usual grocers and bakers etc. The Lecrin Valley and the gateway to the Las Alpujarras are around 25 minutes south. Guadix with its unusual cave houses is 30 minutes north east from Granada.
Further details
There are a wealth of shops, banks, bars & restaurants in Granada as well as museums and places of interest (try the Hammam Turkish baths). Local markets are held on different days in the surrounding villages - don't miss the Saturday one in Guadix selling everything from shoes and clothes to spices and live chickens ! Otura village has bakers, butchers, chemists, supermarkets etc, plus several bars & restaurants
Our villa is perfectly suited for a 'get up late, shop for shoes, laze by the pool' holiday (me !) or a 'get up early, swim, play golf, climb a mountain' holiday (my husband !)
Booking notes
50% deposit payable at time of booking. Balance payable 6 weeks before arrival. A refundable damage deposit of £25 per person (min £100) is also payable at time of booking. We can accept payment by cheque or bank transfer and in £'s or euros. We prefer not to use the availability calendar and request you please contact us for our current availability.
