Oliveres is a wonderful 3 bed, 2 bathroom villa with big private pool (9.5m x 4m) and private parking, located in a quiet residential area of L’Escala. The villa is situated in a private cul-de-sac with 4 other villas, bordering a huge pine forest; great for hikes, picnics, mountain biking. Oliveres is under a mile walking distance to Riells beach. Just around the corner there is a bike path, through the forest, to Montgo beach. L’Escala is a lovely, relaxed Catalan town on the Mediterranean which boasts many fantastic, safe, sandy, Blue Flag beaches. The main beaches are: Riells, Montgo and Empuries. Being on the most southerly tip of the enormous bay of Roses, L’Escala is especially good for water sports. The bay also means that the many beaches are great for children as the waters are calm and shallow. The Old Town of L'Escala is a labyrinth of narrow streets leading down to its beaches and the sea. It is full of interesting shops and great restaurants.

Kitchen: Fully equipped modern fitted kitchen - dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer, oven and hob, complete set of crockery, cutlery, glasses etc.
Utility Room: Large garage with washing machine, ironing board, iron and drying rack.
Living Rooms: Living room with sofas and wall mounted widescreen flat TV. A Sky digibox with Freeview channels (BBC, ITV...) and DVD player are provided along with a selection of DVDs. Large dining room table and 6 chairs.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All bathroom towels, beach towels and bed linen is provided and changed weekly for 2 week stays. This is included in the price as is cleaning the villa before and after your stay.

Outside
All day sun on the terraces. Large, tiled swimming pool (9.5x4m) with Roman steps and underwater lighting. The steps provide easy access to the pool for children and are great for playing on. The underwater lighting comes on automatically after dark providing back drop lighting for dinner and drinks on the terrace. Shaded porch with large table and chairs. There are sun loungers around the pool and a BBQ. Around the terrace you will find flowering Oleander bushes, herbs and olive trees. Parking for 2 cars infront of the garage.

Coast/Beach
Main L'Escala beaches: Riells beach - walking distance (less than a mile). Lovely sandy beach, shallow, calm water. Many watersports available. Promenade with restaurants, boutiques.

Montgo - 8 min drive or cycle along path through forest behind Oliveres. Beautiful sandy cove. Dine on the hillside looking down over the bay.

Empuries beaches - 10 min drive. Wonderful long stretch of undeveloped sandy beaches leading down from medieval village of Sant Marti with its bustling restaurants.

Golf
Between a 15 and 40 minute drive from L'Escala, 7 major golf courses are available including 1 PGA course. Please ask us if you require more information about these courses.

Travel
Nearest airports:
Girona - 40 mins drive
Barcelona - 1 hr 45 mins drive
Perpignan - 1hr 30 mins drive

By car: 12 hours from Calais along the French motorways. Motorway all the way (L'Escala is 45 mins from the French border).

Distances
Empuries - L'Escala. One of Spains most important archeological sites. The Greeks founded L'Escala and their city along with a later Roman city has been excavated.

Salvador Dali - all 3 Dali museums are easily reachable. The amazing Theatre Museum, most visited museum in Spain, is situated in Figueres, 25 minute drive.

Girona - consistently voted by national polls as the most desirable place to live in Spain. Good food and an interesting ancient town to stroll around. 35 minute drive.

Further details
Supermarkets/shops/bakers open 7 days a week. Many cash machines/banks throughout L'Escala. Big outdoor go-carting track just outside L'Escala. Crazy golf in L'Escala.
Diving opportunities - lots of diving schools, coves, instruction easily available.

Booking notes
When a reservation is made we require a 30% deposit. The balance will be due 4 weeks before your arrival date by bank transfer or in cash (Euros) on your arrival. Once we've received your deposit we will send you an e-mail confirmation. Directions and a map will follow by post.
