Isla Canela is situated on the Atlantic where the Guadiana River separates Portugal from Spain. The focal point of Isla Canela is the splendid marina, with the beach just 3 mins walk away. Close by are a few select shops, mini markets and restaurants and the old fishing village of Punta del Moral is just across the harbour, again with a choice of bars and seafood restaurants. For golfers, the Isla Canela golf course, set in beautiful countryside, is just 5 mins away by car. There are also some good hotels close by for more formal dining. The lovely Andalusian town of Ayamonte is 5km away, where there are many shops, tapas bars, restaurants and a 10 min ferry ride to Villa Real de Santo Antonio on the Portuguese side where again there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Windsurfing, canoeing and sailing are available locally, as are tennis and paddle tennis courts for the more energetic. Boat trips for dolphin watching or fishing and river trips, can also be enjoyed.

Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to bedroom 1 with bath/shower over, hand basin, wc and bidet.
Second bathroom with hand basin, wc and shower cubicle.
Kitchen: Fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave.
Utility Room: Separate utility room off kitchen with washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Living Rooms: Very comfortable Lounge/diner: 1 leather sofa plus 1 leather sofa-bed, dining table and 4 chairs. TV and DVD player.
Other: Terrace overlooking the marina fitted with patio dining table and chairs. At the end of the day this is a fabulous place for you to wine and dine and watch the world go by as the yachts come home and the Spanish sun slowly sets.

Notes on accommodation
There is a secure dedicated covered car parking space and a gated entrance to the apartment block, with a communal swimming pool and sunbathing terrace on the ground floor.
The apartment on the 4th floor is easily accessed by a lift from the car park. For winter lettings room heaters are provided for the cooler evenings.

Accessibility
With the use of the lift there are no stairs to climb including the swimming pool area, but the apartment is not constructed with wheelchair access in mind.

Outside
The terrace leading off from the lounge has an exquisite view directly onto the marina and the fishing village of Punta del Moral. A large dining table and chairs are provided on the terrace to assure that the dramatic sunsets are enjoyed to the full.

Coast/Beach
The apartment is located directly on the waterfront of the beautiful new marina and the expanses of unspoilt beaches and sand dunes are a few minutes walk away. An extensive nature reserve is accessible directly from the apartments.

Golf
The golf course of Isla Canela is only 5 minutes drive away. This 18 hole, par 72 links golf course was completed in 1994. It is well established and popular with residents on the island, visitors and holiday makers alike. Set in a beautiful landscape dotted with olive, orange and eucalyptus trees, it offers challenging and entertaining play on its gentle sloped dunes.

The attractive club house caters to every golfers need. There is a permanent golf school as well as a golf shop, a bar and a restaurant. There is also a swimming pool and two bowling greens next to a beautiful terrace on which to sit and relax.
Portugal is only 15 minutes away with its abundance of famous top class golf courses.

Travel
Isla Canela is about 50 minutes and 50 Km from Faro airport in Portugal and about 1 hour 30 minutes from Seville Airport.
Car rental is recommended although airport pick-ups are available.

Distances
The apartment is adjacent to the local restaurants, bars and shops of Isla Canela and 10 minutes drive from the lovely town of Ayamonte on the Guadiana River. Isla Canela’s location makes it ideal for visits to Seville, not only for shopping and sightseeing but also the delightful Isla Magica for the children. Seville is a beautiful city with lots to see and do, particularly its Gothic Cathedral, the narrow streets and flamenco dancing. Beyond Seville the ancient town of Jerez is charming.

Further details
Mini markets and cash machines are available next to the apartment, as are a range of restaurants including Spanish and other nationalities, many serving excellent local seafood and tapas. Large supermarkets and a full range of shops can be found in nearby Ayamonte.
