Luxury penthouse built in 2001 in the heart of the Port with fantastic views of the Port and the whole of Javea bay. It is a very modern house designed on 3 levels with carrera marble floors throughout and clever use of Tosca sandstone (a local fossil-embedded sandstone) and all of the facilities expected in such a contemporary house.All of the bedrooms are on the first floor and the kitchen,dining-room and lounge are on the second floor.There is full air conditioning/heating in every room , TV x 2, DVD x 2, CD player, playstation, loads of DVDs/CDs, book library, toy cupboard, board games and jigsaws. Buckets, spades, chairs, cool-bag and cork-screw await.

The above price is for a week for the house (not per person.)The price includes all linen/towels (not beach) all electricity, weekly cleaning and free welcome pack. Air-con/heating is an extra optional £25 per week which is payable with the final payment.This is non-refundable. We are happy to offer discounts for longer winter lets.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday,in the high season (high season is the most expensive weeks). Outside of high season we are flexible. Arrival time is at 4pm and departure time is at 10.45am. This is to make sure that the house is beautifully cleaned for you!

Bedrooms: First floor:
Bedroom 1 - double bed, en suite, fitted floor to ceiling wardrobes, bedside tables and lamps.
Bedroom 2 -twin beds, floor to ceiling wardrobes, bedside table & lamp.
Bedroom 3 - twin beds, floor to ceiling wardrobes, TV, DVD, Playstation.
Bathrooms: Luxury Roca en-suite bathroom to main bedroom with bath/shower, shower over, wc and separate washing area.
Luxury Roca family bathroom with wash basin, bidet, wc and large walk-in Grohe power shower enclosure. Non-plugged hairdryer, just bring your GHD.
Kitchen: Second Floor: The kitchen has granite work surfaces, hob, oven, (with extractor fan/lights over), large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and juicer. Iron/ironing board, apron and cookbooks for the keen chefs!
Living Rooms: The dining room has a new glass table, which seats 6 people. The lounge has a new L-shaped sofa and 2 tub chairs. The lounge also has a large coffee table,nest of tables and console table. There is a large TV/DVD/CD player with plenty of DVDs/CDs & games.
Other: There are 2 very large terraces, both with fantastic views of the bay and port. The upstairs terrace is equipped with dining table for 6. The lower terrace has tables & chairs outside each bedroom, a removable decorative screen & fantastic sea-views.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
The house is cleaned weekly. Linen, towels (not beach) and electricity is included. Air-con/heating is an extra optional £25 per week.This is non-refundable. Tea, coffee,wine and all cleaning materials are always in the house. Free welcome pack.

 

Notes on accommodation
There is an underground garage with electric doors (great for a cool car in the height of summer)
There are loads of restaurants within a short walking distance(the nearest restaurant is a mere 40 steps from the house). There are supermarkets, bakeries, churches, gift shops, a cinema showing English films once a week, an outdoor cinema on the beach (high-season but only in Spanish, bring your deckchair & dictionary!) English book-shop, English newspapers, ice-cream parlour, scuba-diving, bike/trike-hire, organised walks from the Port,tourist office, tennis courts,hairdresser, beauty salon, and loads of shoes/clothes shops.Bring your credit cards ladies!
There are plenty of restaurants offering very good 3 course meals with a bottle of wine included, from 9 euros a head.
Mercadona supermarket offers internet home-delivery shopping. Buy before you arrive!
The house is very child-friendly including a cot, baby monitor & Calpol in the medicine box!Baby-gates can be hired in the Port.

Accessibility
The house has six steps from the main small road.
The area around the house is gently undulating down to the Port, where it is flat. Please ask for additional photos to see the Port and beach area.
The area around the house, although being central, is very quiet.
The house is not overlooked by other properties, but rather the two terraces overlook the Port & bay.

Outside
There is a large shared lawned area which is lined by palm/olive/fig trees and it is kept in pristine condition.
There is also a large exclusive shared pool which has a shower area. The pool is within 10 steps of the house. The pool graduates from 1 metre gently to 2 metres in depth. The gates to this are locked,so that only owners can access this area.
The house has an outside table with six chairs on the upper terrace overlooking the port and bay (first photo above). The upper terrace is fantastic for breakfast, lunch or first-row for watching the fireworks, concerts or arrival of the Three Kings in the Port.

Coast/Beach
There is a flat beach, La Grava, which is just 50 metres from the house & the larger El Arenal is just a 2 minute drive from the house, or a 10 minute tourist train ride. Both are very gradually shelving which is great for children.
During the height of summer there are numerous beach bars between La Grava and El Arenal. These are fantastic places for watching the sunset.
Outside of the high season the Port, unlike El Arenal, is fully open & vibrant. This is the hub of Javea.

Golf
Javea has an 9 hole course designed by Francisco Moreno. The course is about 8 minutes away from the house. The golf club also features a swimming pool and restaurant.
The 18 hole Jose Maria Olazabal-designed course is at the new La Sella Marriott Hotel and Spa, near Denia which is about 12 minutes away from the house.

Travel
The house is equidistant between Alicante Airport and Valencia Airport. Both airports take approx just over one hour motorway journey by car. Collection from either airport can be arranged for up to 6 people. This is not included in the price! As a rough price guide for 1-4 people it is 80 euros each way. For 5-6 people it is 90/100 euros each way to the airport. Day trips to local attractions can also be arranged.
Gata de Gorgos railway station is approximately 5 miles away.

It is possible to walk from the house to The Old Town and El Arenal, but it is just as easy to get a taxi or ride on the tourist tram, both of which stop in the port.

Further details
The Port of Javea is many people's favourite part of Javea(also called Xabia). You can watch the fishermen bring in their fresh catch or watch the boats sail out of the marina, whilst enjoying a drink on one of the baysides many restaurants. You can then laze or paddle on La Grava beach and be back at the house in two minutes without ever needing a car. Javea enjoys 320 days of sunshine a year so it's an all year round destination.
Please e-mail the address below for a photo-gallery showing all rooms and more outside views. From personal use we recommend that air-conditioning is needed from late June through to early September and that heating is needed from late October through to early April.
If you are interested in Scuba diving then there are at least four scuba-diving centres in Javea,some of which allow scuba -diving from aged 13 onwards, although you will need to book in advance.

Booking notes
30% deposit cheque is required with your booking, the balance due at least 8 weeks prior to your date of arrival. If you are booking less than 4 weeks before departure then a money transfer will be required to our bank. If you cancel your booking, a deposit refund will only be made if we can re-let the house during your booking period. Refundable key/breakage/damage deposit of £100 per week, is payable on top of the weekly rental. This is refunded after inspection by Trish and Dave (keyholders).
